I'm sure this has been asked a gazillion times, but my cat keeps getting fleas, despite a flea collar and using those bob martin spot on treatments regular (every 5/6 weeks as advised) is there a better product I can use like some kind of special shampoo? Bare in mind, I've never bathed her. Any help is much appreciated

Try Frontline or Advocate purchased from a vet - or another product recommended by a vet. Or purchased carefully from a reputable company online. Increasingly fleas are immune to the common treatments (this can include Frontline) but I have to say that anything purchased over-the-counter (which is, I believe, the Bob Martin preparation?) isn't - in my view - likely to deal with the problem.

As someone who ended up having to spray our house when our cat had a particularly bad infestation, I don't try and save money on flea treatments anymore. The bites take too long to heal and itch like hell!

Don't buy cheap crap out of the supermarket. Go and get some from the vets. And vacuum every day.

Since he keeps getting them, you probably have eggs and larvae in the house.

Also - suggest you pop along to the vets for an effective wormer. Unfortunately Milbemax is POM, but since your cat has fleas he might well have tapeworms as well - the flea is part of the lifecycle of the tapeworm.
