I've quite enjoyed episodes 2 to 4 of The Glass House much more than the premiere and I'm quite enjoying it as a show but I'm really struggling to get a feel for the tactics and how things work in the house. With BB USA the battle lines are pretty clear and it's usually relatively clear which strategies will be good or bad and what the HGs should or at least could do to sway the influence of the house, but with TGH it's much more difficult to really get a grip on how the house works, particularly because an element of it depends on public voting. Maybe I'm overthinking it, and the reason I'm struggling to understand the strategies is because there is only so much strategising the HMs can do given the heavy public involvement, I don't know. Either way the strategies seem to be much more subtle and nuanced than in BB USA - and that's probably exacerbated by it only being on once a week where in BB USA you can see plans slowly come together over a couple of episodes, or fall to pieces within a couple of shows.
That's the only thing holding me back from really loving TGH so far - really wish I could understand the strategising more and really buy into it and root for the good game players, but I literally have no idea who they are right now.
Also, as time goes on I'm becoming more and more convinced this really is essentially a bit of a rip-off of BB USA with some public voting thrown in to muddy the tactical waters.
