Remember though she's not been in the bottom three yet. I think that would have been the very small difference between her staying and going.

It wasn't the wrong call - it was the right one but she failed to articulate why. She had established that he had worked out her margins, and Lord Sugar had pointed out that she had gone for too low a margin . That made whoever set the margins vulnerable and she had no reason to bring in anyone else. She couldn't articulate it that clearly and if she had she might have just raised teh question why didn't you over rule him. As he had devised what little strategy she had, he was also a shield against Ahzar who was going to claim she had no strtegy or the wrong strategy. That could, and did, give her someone to support her, and to deflect some fire to Ahzar. In that sense, its the right move.

The point made on going on a low margin was directed at the late sales slashing and especially the fake tan pracing which Tom did not have a direct input in. The first of these was Jade's call totally and she seemed to make the call on the second with Laura as Tom said he had no experience of the product and devolved the task to them. Her own comments that she thought it was a Ģ2.99 product if anything made her vulnerable. If she tried to place the blame on Tom he would have rightly set her right on whose fault those issues where.
The fact that she changed her mind in two seconds with Tom made her even more vulnerable as it further reinforced the fairly easy to demonstrate view that she had no control over the task or the team.
The main reason she did not get fired was that Azhar did not sell himself or discredit her. Tom did not need to as he knew he was safe due to her reaction and he knew she would go for Azhar.
She fought her corner better. Azar would have gone soon enough, felt a bit sorry for him, he had more character than we had seen.. They are always so much nicer and more relaxed when they are on "Your're Fired".

Terrible of Jade to ignore Azhar at the end. She clearly has no class and a high level of immaturity. I still cant believe she wasnt fired. She was utterly useless on this task. I couldn't believe how bad she was!
Azhar was by no means the best candidate but I did feel sorry for him this week. He clearly understood this task far better than Jade but Jade just chose to ignore him and wouldn't let him put his point of view across or give him a chance to explain it. I was very surprised Karen Brady did not mention this to Sugar.

Of the top of my head, I can only think of Paulīs PM stint (the īcheeseī episode from series 3) as being worse.
First he fires Katie for making mistakes within the task and now he letīs Jade stay for doing the same thing (while she was invisible in the first 6 weeks, unlike Katie)

But it seems to me that the tasks are becoming less and less significant both in deciding who's fired each episode and who's hired at the end of the series. It's more and more about boardroom performance and prospective business plans.
Yes Jade was passionate about herself and her business in the boardroom. But Azhar had already delivered a similar speech last week. He'd have just been repeating himself. So I can't blame him for not saying much. Despite his faults, I'd have given him another chance because he correctly identified how to divide the stock and he was urging Jade to focus and formulate a plan throughout the task instead of persisting with her haphazard approach. I think he's got a better business mind, which is why he's doing quite well for himself now and why he should have stayed on a bit longer.

She was crap, but Gabrielle was even worse in Week 1, and that's just limiting things to this series.

Her performance as PM was not that bad. For a start, the margin of defeat was not to big and the team did appear to work cohesively together other than the disagreements with Azhar which where not that disruptive. She made some key errors which ultimately lead to their loss but I have seen poorer PM's numerous times and Nick also made some errors which on another time could have lead to a loss. The big difference was he kept his prices high enough.
Most of the awful PMs have have slipped from my memory due to how mediocre or bad they where after 8 series of the Apprentice. Rocky, the Boro lad who had to retire from football is one that springs to mind

She was very lucky to get away with it ... no way Tom was going to be fired and as Karren said, without Tom she`d have been in a right mess.

Her performance as PM was appalling. [LIST][*]She didn't follow the brief. [*]She allowed time to be wasted in the wholesalers while no one could decide where to have the pitches. [*]No leadership, it was all "what do you think?" [*]Azhar suggested more stock for the remote location, she said no, split it 50:50. [*]On restock she couldn't decide to go for one or two good sellers, and said buy everything. Worst appeal to be kept on since Stuart Baggs and his field of ponies. Absolutely shocking non-management.
There's no way Jade should have escaped firing. She was pretty much entirely responsible for the team's defeat.

Jade was hopeless as PM and, as others have said , LS could have fired both of them. Instead he gave her a second chance , as he has done for others in this series.
Azhar has been in the boardroom repeatedly, with no contribution of any distinction so far. The week he won as PM, the rest of his team suggested he was a waste of space and they had done it in spite of him; nothing said in the boardroom contradicted this impression.
So LS gave Azhar three lives and then fired him, and has just given Jade one life . Hard to say that was a bad decision, simply not quite as good a decison as firing the pair of them this evening.

Thats Tom's let out on the pricing issue - by that logic she should have brought in whoever priced the fake tan as Lord Sugar had identified that as the item they lost on. She can't do that though as she decided that price herself and can't bring herself in - and she also still thinks they had about the right price. The bottom line though is that she has to bring someone else back in, and its not going to be the people who sold well and kept away from the strategy and pricing, so it has to be the one left who had anything to do with where Lord Sugar thought it had gone wrong?Tom won't attack her on her strategy either, which nicely sets up Ahzar as the one they can both put in the frame and gives her someone to support her case. tom isn't going to go , but he's probably the right person to bring back for negative and positive reasons. The alternative is Laura who Lord Sugar seemed to be probing and may have preferred to Tom (or not) - but Jade has no argument at all to bring her back
I think he read Ahzar as negative. Last year he read Tom throwing out similar comments, as ineffectively, in a positive way . The difference may be that Ahzar doesn't interest him?

The only possible better one to bring back was Laura. But she , and we, don't know if he asked what Laura was doing because he wants Laura out or in. if Jade took that gamble she might have pleased him or been hit with the point that she had no argument at all to be bringing Laura back with. Lord Sugar implies she made the wrong choice, but from her point of view she has no case for anyone else.

Azhar was annoying, he moaned a bit, but he also pointed out very clearly, multiple times that more stock should of been taken to the market. He also pointed out that they should be buying more of the products that they were actually selling, and all he wanted to know was the direction of the day so they had some sort of structure.
