Hey there,

okay so from 30th June, my area will be able to get fibreoptic broadband thanks to BT. This is something we have waited for for years now and we have every intention fo switching to fibreoptic (at the moment, we have an average to 2.4mb).

We've wanted to change from Sky to Virgin Media for ages as my mother and grandparents have Virgin and well, I love it. However, apparently Virgin do not use BT's cables, which means that we will be unable to go with Virgin.

We aren't happy with Sky. Our internet service has been rubbish and we regularly have outages in services and as a whole, we seem to be paying around £30 extra a month for basically the same package my grandparents have on Virgin. We know that Sky is currently rolling out it's fibreoptic broadband and we have been told that they don't know if we will be able to get it yet.

So, my question is how is BT Vision? Is it true you can't get it in HD, as that is a big factor for us. My experience with BT television was a few years a go and it was bloody awful, but hoping it has improved! Otherwise looks like we'll be staying with SKY
