Quick question regarding HD/+ box

Hey guys,

Just a quick question for someone in the know. A few years back I read somewhere that you could run a Sky + box just off one feed, disabling feed 2 somewhere in the settings. Is this still the case?

I realise this means no multiple viewing/recording but in a purpose built rental flat we don't have much of a choice

Cheers

Hey!

Yes it is possible.
To do it follow this procedure:

- Press Services, Settings, Select, 0, 1, Select.

You'll see the "hidden menu", then choose Setup and change the "Single Feed Mode" from "off" to "on".

Cheers !

For a Sky HD box:

Press Services, 0, 0, 1, Select

This takes you to the Installer's menu.

Setup should be highlighted and you'll find Single Feed Mode at the bottom.

Alter the option to On and press Green to save. You will get a warning banner referring to recordings in progress being stopped. If all is ok then press select. Your box will shut down. Give it a minute or two and turn the box back on and that's it

For an old white Sky+ box I've not got a clue. Sorry

That's because it's not an option, there's no need for it on an old Sky+ - the later software for the HD boxes means the box won't work at all on a single feed without it, which is why it was added.
