Is that a record? Maybe this whole series will go past without a single losing PM being fired.

The closest is Series 1 where only 1 out of the first 7 Losing PMs was fired. That ended up with 3 out of 10 going.

Something wrong with this series.

(Mild spoiler about next weeks PMs: )
Spoiler
With next week being Gabrielle vs Tom, both of whom people are speculating are good candidates in LAS's eyes, it looks like it could be 8 out of 8

Jade def deserved to be fired this week; even though Azar isnt my fav guy on the show it really wasnt his fault; I guess it being his second time in the BR and his lack of vocal abilty in the earlier episodes made him an easy mark.

Although Jade has been the closest contestant to be fired seeing as it was really all her fault.

I'm struggling to remember a worse PM performance than Jade's in the show's history. She must have a brilliant business plan.

Lindsey - Secret Signals
Alexa - Chicken Tikka Pizzas
Paul - Makro Cheese
Ian - Pub Food (if you need help, he decided to spend £200 on flyers for absolutely no reason)
Rocky - Catering
Laura - Beach product design
Gavin - scavenger hunt
Gabrielle - print task

That's a neat one per series worse than Jade. I'm sure I can pull in some others with teams who failed to even break even as well.

Agreed. Would also add Rory (season 3), Jenny C (season 4) and Kevin (season 4). I'm sure there are quite a few more.

Jade wasn't a great PM but she didn't make any huge cockups (eg the 1 chicken per pizza disaster, cooking sausages on candles) or completely alienate/bully her team members. The result was fairly close too.

It's all subjective though isn't it? They might have been worse to you. I thought some of those were terrible (in particular secret signals), but Jade's overall package/behaviour on the task accounts for my reckoning of her being the worst PM ever.

I agree. Its each to their own. We were having a similar discussion earlier. Personally, I think there have been multiple worse PMships. Though, even though she was one of my favourites, I would have fired her yesterday. With regret, mind.

don't you start on the with regret business lol I noticed yesterday Sugar hesitated to use the word fire with Jade. I think instead he said "terminated from this procedure" or something like that. Oh I don't know, she just seems to be the blue eyed girl at present and that wears very thin as we see it enough in the real world. It would be nice, for once, for reality shows to demonstrate something different to give people hope that you can get by on your merit?

How could I have forgetten those? However many of those people were inept in one particular area & adequate in other parts of the PM role. If we had a decathlon for PM ineptness, Jade would be hard to beat.

overall i think the voting has been fair but there is people that have left that shouldn't have and most definitely there are people that are leaving in the next few weeks without a shadow of a doubt.

Noorul from Series 5 still remains the most horrific PM ever in the show. Just absolutely weak and feeble, even more so than Jade.

And he won. Due to the sandlewood fiasco.

I really hate it when a PM scrapes a win despite their management and not in any way because of it. That's why I was slightly on tenterhooks this week. Sterling's result had a lot to do with Nick's management, Phoenix's result was achieved in spite of Jade's. However, had Sterling lost, I don't think anyone but Nick could have taken the fall because although he made many good decisions, the one poor one that could have cost the team was also down to him. And that would have peed me off royally. Thankfully it didn't happen.

I agree. The impression we got was that Sterling all sold well and, though Nick mainly made good decisions (He "smelt was sold" ) his plan to send Ricky and Stephen to restock could have cost them. Luckily it didn't and Nick deservedly got the PM win! I'm growing more and more certain by the week that it'll be a Nick-Tom final two.

I just cant seem to understand why asking abou the strategy would be annoying or distracting to the overall task; had Jade discussed it with her team members she would have realised which stock to buy rather than ignoring them and wasting their money on stuff that wasnt moving.
Anyway hopefully next week Adam or Jade will be fired they're currently two of my least fav contestants.

Nargis was a terrible PM on Series 2. She created a charity calender made of cats LOL

I think Jenny Celery (PM for laundry task) is the only one who was worse than Jade. Imagine being led by someone like that. The argument in the car with Lucinda crying was just horrible to watch.

The problem with Jade is that, she DID NOT manage from the very start of the task. Fortunately for Jade, nobody in her team attempted a coup d'état. Last year, Helen Milligan thought that Melody was so useless that she attempted a coup d'état in a similar task. Even though in fairness, Melody was more efficient in managing the team compared to Jade in a relatively similar task.

LordSirAlanSugar has lost the plot that's why.

I came to believe long ago that Lord Sugar does not like to fire PMs. In the first series, he fired only 3, and one of those was Miriam whom he later realised he'd got wrong (and phoned her up to apologise).

He fires 5 in the second series. One of those was Alexa, who by rights should have been fired in the previous task (Karen went instead), and who screwed up completely (100 chickens for 100 pizzas was just the most famous mistake). Another was Tuan who was ill, and another was Syed who ought to have been fired long before.

Generally, then, in order to get fired a PM has to be pretty bad. I think the higher frequency of PM firings in later series reflects a poorer quality of candidates. There's usually at least 1 per series who plays the "Alexa Gambit", pleading to be PM when they ought to be fired and then failing badly.

I think the current series has no PM firings because the PMs haven't been too bad. There's always been someone else worse. Even Jade, probably the worse PM this series, got the team organised relatively smoothly, and they lost by less than 15%.

They are definitely getting rid of the quiet ones (or the under the radar type) this series.

Yeah LOL, but TBF to Nargis nearly all the team where behind the dreadful idea. She was an awful PM though LOL.

Series 2 episode 2 it was an hilarious episode.

Well, according to the polls Lord Sugar only got it right when he fired Michael in week 3. Which means that most people thought that in others weeks somebody else (including the PM) should have been fired instead.

And I would say that especially the very bad PM´s tend to avoid a firing (Simon from Series 3, Helene from Series 4, Stuart from Series 6 and Tom from Series 7).

If you carry this forward into the process this year, Gaby, Adam and Jade will at least make it to the final five.
