Im so P****d off, I just dropped my MP3 player (in its leather case) about 6 ft from the floor (carpet) and now theres no volume, I cant see it being a hard disk problem as I can still skip thru tracks, search tracks and play tracks but no volume, Ive tried other headphones, help please!!!

Aaghhh, bad luck.

Does the Zen have a Line-out? Do you get anything from that?

Does switching off, then back on do anything?

Reboot perhaps.

Is there any physical signs of damage? If not, is it in warranty still.

I hope you get it sorted.

No line-out, only headphone socket, no obvious signs of damage, tried reboot and power cycle, still not fixed, my main concern is the 20gigs of mp3 i got on there, i really dont want to rip my entire cd collection again. If I send it away under warranty for repair how can i be sure it wont come back EMPTY

Just read on the creative website forums that there is a known fault/problem with headphone sockets on these players, so Im hoping all Ive done is broken the connection. I may be able to fix it with a soldering iron/screwdriver if im luck
