All very nice, but an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable - I get mine from Poundland!

All seems to work OK except the HD pictures are identical to the SD pictures on the unit. Not brilliantly clear definition the swapped unit had. I've set it to 1080p but it makes no difference. I give up now. I've had enough and will make do with what I have got.”

And the lesson is: for something new that goes wrong, always get a refund straight out of the gate and then research whatever replacement you wish to get at your leisure, rather than accept something offered (however well-meaning) and get talked into something substandard or inappropriate.

I tried but failed to put up with the poor HD picture on the DMR-BWT700 and took it back to Richer Sounds. The only course left was to buy the later DMR-BWT720. It is quite a lot more expensive and the only real difference is that it has a 1TB HDD. Richer Sounds happily did the swap and now everything runs well. Fingers crossed.

It was yesterdays TSV on QVC one thing they demonstrated if you have ipad or Android tablet you can download the Diga app and then use one of the tuners if not in use to watch TV on your tablet or recorded material.
