Hi,

Is there any box I can add to the tv, aside from a jailbroken atv2, that can cope with the following streams:

iPlayer
ITV player
4OD
5 on Demand
lovefilm
netflix
dnla client

Cheers,

Steve

I'll second the PS3 for what you want....I use mine for the same things and it works flawlessly...

360 doesn't have ITV Player, PS3 doesn't have Demand 5. But yes, a PS3 would be your best bet, plus its Blu-ray if you ever buy the odd film.

I think its a toss up between the two gaming consoles

PS 3 does have problems playing goames online and its easier with xbox, but then you need a subscription for xbox

On the Apple TV , my mate and I cant get films streaming round the house . We can stream music as you would expect , but its back to xbox for streaming films .

I have 3 xboxs for dvd player and streaming music throughout the house , the gaming consoles have a lot of uses !!

No. There are no 'dongles' that offer streaming services, only boxes.

This blu-ray player from tesco streams iplayer, Demand 5, lovefilm, youtube, and sony entertainment. Admittedly no itv player or 4od at the moment, but hopefully they will appear at some point , and a steal at £59.97. It also plays full 1080p mkv files from the usb slot via a memory stick.

With the Sony Bluray you get iPlayer, and Demand5, YouTube, and Sony Entertainment, Lovefilm, Muzu TV, Crackle, Daily Motion, Video and Music Unlimited, DWTV and services from Eurosport, Sky News, Euronews ,Tagesschau, eHow, Lovestrong, Golflink, uStudio, Style.com, Concierge.com, Wired.com, Billabong, Mubi, Moshcam and a few more.. A lot are not worth watching, and but the Sony Bluray does offer a lot.. If you get a new 2012 model you also get Netflix.
