LCD tv flickering on switch on

My LCD tv is flickering for about 10 minutes after it's first been switched on. It then seems to warm up and be ok.

Any ideas on what the problem is guys

Sounds like a problem with the ccfl back lighting. Much the same as you get with worn out flourescent tubes or duff starters.

Sounds more like a power supply problem to me, probably electrolytic capacitors. A make and type would help, but my suspicion is that its a Goodmans or Samsung.

As an owner of a Samsung I know exactly what you are talking about. I got a retailer/Samsung to fix my problems under a sale of goods act argument a couple of years ago. POS is breaking again though. Not a fan of Samsung anymore...
