Jeeze I am only saying, I sure you watch shows that you like and occasionally find dull but I bet you still watch!

I've actually spent the last few weeks watching a few series I've never seen before.

I started watching from Series 6 (where Stella won) so I've watched series 5, 4 and now watching series 3...all because this series is such a let down.

Both series 5 and 4 have been absolute belters!! What happened?

I do really dislike the editing nowadays. It makes it hard to root for anyone, and takes away any sense of competition.

Sugar just doesn't seem interested anymore. The boardroom used to be so intense, now I think a contestant could accuse Alan of incest and get away with it. The show needs a complete revamp. Scrap Sugar, scrap Nick and the awful Karren, and scrap this ridiculous investment prize which highlights the flaws that I could once easily look over.

Am I the only one that thinks Lord Sugar is being too influenced by other people in terms of firing people.

Personally the Irish girl from this series had huge potential and she's gone

Based on your username, it seems as though you're watching the wrong show.

If you don't like it, don't watch. Simple as that.

Agree unfortunately, this is probably the worst series ever. 7 weeks have passed and there's still no clear cut winner

Series 4 is easily the worst series out of them all (including the current series).

The only comparison is that in both series a few serious contenders got fired for no reason by the big boss, but at least this series only has incompetance (instead of the vile antics in Series 4).

I watched it since the halal chicken in the 4th series and really got addicted to it then. I like the entertainment element not the business part. Series 5 was the best for me in particular the Olympic theme catering and the sandalwood task.

For me the quality of candidates has definitely gone down since series 6. I dont know if that concides with the fact that the format has changed or not. This format means that potenial great astute and intelligent candidates are getting fired because they simply dont have a business plan that LAS likes or is in any way feasible to fit in with his business portfolio. This does go in line with the new format but in doing so the entertainment and quality of candiates has gone down.

Does anyone know who was responsible for changing the format? Was it LAS or the production company? It would make sense if it was LAS himself. This new format is more like Dragons den now but was never a big fan of that!

Except you haven't. All you've done is .

If you have an opinion that consists of words, stringing a sentence together, then please do.

I think this series is no better, or worse than previous series and continue to enjoy watching. Your opening post suggest you have no pleasure watching, which if is this case, find something else to watch.

I've actually been straight to the point in regards to what I am not liking!

Yes I continue to watch it but that's normal for a fan of the show to do.

I didn't really enjoy the 2009 series but loved the 2010 and 2011.

It's just pointing out that I am a loyal fan however I am simply stating what I am not enjoying about the series.

Please don't try to make out like I am contradicting myself or am not making any sense ok?

Surely if there was a clear cut winner obvious at this stage the rest of the show would be pointless. What's happened this series is a few promising candidates have been fired, leaving some we haven't seen properly yet plus the no hopers chosen for entertainment purposes.

Since they don't pitch their plans till the final, I don't see how it's anything like Dragon's Den. The tasks have been no different. Because Tom won last year without shining in the tasks some people suspect that Sugar is avoiding sacking people whose plans he likes, but apart from this week no one has been fired who clearly should not have been. A few controversial ones, but nothing clear cut. A few successful business owners have been fired, and you'd imagine their business plans would be interesting.

I think the prize change was prompted by bad publicity. There was a lack of any ex-winners still working for Sugar and some negative reports about the jobs, especially the last job winner. That made the prize look poor apart from the salary. They tried the investment prize with Junior Apprentice and it worked OK, so why not with the main show?

I really don't get this "quality of candidates is terrible" statement.

I actually think the reverse is true. We are not getting the pure entertainment that we had in previous series because the current crop are not dropping b0ll0cks at the rate of previous candidates.

"Splish Splash" (or whatever it was called) was pretty dire but did it ever even approach "Secret Signals" or the awfulness that was Nargis' "6 million cat owners in the UK" speech? (Even though their product in that occasion was okay). Adam's about as close to a dreadful contestant as we have but he isn't making anyone punch themselves in the face to the extent of a Jenny Celery, an Alexa Tilley or even a Melissa Cohen (they shall be karmically retributed).

The problem with this series isn't that the candidates are dire - Tom, Nick and Ricky are all extremely competent and all the rest have shown skill in certain areas - but more that they are all a bit grey. The best of them are quiet and often likeable (heaven forbid) and the worst of them still have certain redeeming features.

I rather like this series. I think it's being set up for Tom to win and then become messiah of the world but I like more candidates this time than I have for a while. I don't remember them as much as I have other series once the episodes have finished but I'd rather watch this lot when they're on than several other past lots of contestants.

That is one of the best and well-reasoned post I've seen on the DS Apprentice forums for a long while.

I can't judge about it being the best post on the Apprentice DS forum for a while since I've just got there but I can say that you articulated, much more elegantly and succintly than I ever could, exactly why I think this season so far is actually one of the most interesting (although I quite enjoyed season 6 too, among the more recent ones)

I rewatched Series 6 recently. I've always felt it was very underrated. It had Baggs, great boardrooms and one of the most underrated episodes ever - the Scavenger Hunt task!

So far this series has been awful, the change of the prize, has meant a change from someone who's employable to someone with a Business Plan that LS likes, so people who would have been fired had it been the old format, have been spared being fired, like last weeks firing.

For me series 1 is still the best, even though it was new & unfamiliar.

No one will know whether Jade's business plan was better than Azhar's or not, so it's a bit of a leap to assume it was what kept her in. Azhar didn't really speak up for himself in the boardroom and that's presumably why he went. The week before, Katie was fired instead of Adam, who is just a salesman. Do you think Adam's business plan is likely to be that good to keep him in?

Not too keen on this investment format, as he is more interested in their idea's than the people.

Some of the stuff they get away with makes you wonder if it is because he likes their idea and will let them off more often.

Try watching it as an entertainment show rather than from a business perspective, much easier to ignore its flaws then

I think that people are finding it too easy to blame the business plans If he was really firing on that basis, then do any of you honestly believe Helen would have made 2nd? Her business plan was awful.
