The voice is a fantastic show, but when it's up against cowell I'm afraid it's not going to win,the BBC should have long look when it comes back next year and place it in the schedules when cowell hasn't got his god damm awfull shows on the tv,I hate to say it but cowell will be laughing out loud this morning as he has achieved what he wanted,to destroy the voice in the ratings, such a real shame!!!!

People aren't tuning in because they want to watch BGT instead ... they just don't want to watch it.

That's only an excuse for the main show, the results show had no clash with anything notable. |

The Voice has got worse week on week, IMO, nothing to do with what is on the other channel. I have been watching it but find myself being distracted by other things now as it's not holding my attention. I can't be the only one that thinks that way otherwise the ratings would be remaining higher. |

I think bad press has played a huge part. The Sun have had a vendetta against The Voice since two weeks before it started with nothing but negative article after negative article while at the same time constantly bigging up BGT.
I do wonder if Syco offered The Sun back hand access to all their artists in order to do this!!!??! seems well dodgy to me. |

If the BBC have just followed the format of the original show then that is their mistake.
Picking one act from five for each judge doesn't work. We get 'this is a difficult decision' from the judges every week and the viewers haven't really had the opportunity to be familiar with the acts. If it continues in this format we are bound to have a right dud act in the latter stages when a better one has already been sent home. So much of XF is run through the media, stories being 'leaked' about goings on, fallings out etc, that it keeps the momentum going. The BBC don't do this kind of publicity so perhaps their show has to be innovative and exciting for the viewer. The judges constantly ramble on, Jesse in particular, and I know what they will say before they get to them now! I'm still watching the show though, not knowing what the format is helps. Hope that we don't get another two weeks of judge v judge and another contestant from each being evicted.

The BBC made a huge mistake last week by making it so obvious that the results show was prerecorded. Strictly's different as the demographics are much older and probably don't realise the show isn't live or they're less internet savy (so don't know who was eliminated).
The Voice is a different beast as the viewers will skew much younger so they'll actively seek out the results. Plus, because last week was so bad (this week's result show was much better) some people probably just thought well I know the results so why tune in an watch crap for no reason. |

They did and then Cowell deliberately moved BGT to earlier in the year to clash against the Voice because he was arrogant enough to believe he could crush it. How's that working for you Simon? ![]()

Of course Simon Cowell and Max Clifford play the You scratch my back game. They very carefully and very obviously place a very large amount of stories in the Sun. If they don't want something printed they give the Sun alternative juicier stories or exclusive interviews. So they do control what you read. |

Two or three weeks ago, the tabloids were all leading with the story of BGT losing to The Voice in the ratings war (even when BGT won with +1 included). I don't think it's right to say they didn't give it a fair chance. They were happy to lay into BGT when it was losing (and XF last year), and now the ratings for Voice are falling they're laying into that as well.

Fame Academy was much better
with backstage coverage and red button streaming from the house this lot are talentless, the format is a good idea but it really is boring and to pre record the results show is not going down well as many viewers are finding out the results on line |
