P.S. ITV1 is showing repeats of Poirot, Benidorm, Midsomer Murders and Lewis on nights they don't have football. BBC1 have their regular Sunday and Tuesday night line up with Britain's Lost Routes with Griff Rhys Jones and Call the Midwife repeats on Thursday.”

Thankyou for that, Brekkie, and all these shows do well for them. Anything must be better than 71 Degrees North or that quiz with Jeremy Kyle.
I do think moving the fitba will prove to be ITV's salvation as Corrie moves into its historic Wednesday slot and Thursdays could be used as a testing ground for new shows in the 8.30 slot. Also should Liverpool or Chelsea do well in the Europa League, then good ratings could be guaranteed if the games are moved to ITV1.

Chelsea are not in the Europa league, Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle are. Because Chelsea won last weekend they remain in the Champions League

Wonder how much of a superboost The Voice will get tonight? After all, the masses have a live performance by Cheryl pet to look forward to. The Damehood can't be far off now.

if she gets a damehood, then we might as well stop handing out such awards, and hopefully the backlash will go as far as getting rid of the royals completely.

I guess you're going to be watching the jubilee celebrations with a smile on your face then, Charnham?

Despite the stereotypes, it isn't compulsory that the entire population goes outside in the sun.

If 'everyone' really did 'go down the pub', I expect the police would have to be called as every pub around the country can't cope with the number of punters turning up.

Thanks very much, that's a lot down on series 1 which is odd as series 2 was much better!

The screaming has started.

TV will have to hope that those on the BARB panel having barbecues tonight will have it on in the background.

There's nothing like a bit of wailing to accompany the beefburgers.

Cheryl won't help The Voice's ratings tonight. Most people that want to watch her performance will just watch it on YouTube after.

The Voice will probably get around 4.5million tonight, maybe less.

The fire brigade will be hoping people dont BBQ indoors. We should monitor 999 call outs as an early ratings predictor

I said this before the show even started, having "Princess" Coles on the show would be a mistake, it makes the show appear too much like X-Factor, and that is where The Voice has suffered, the parts where its too much like X-Factor.

The blind auditions, the battle rounds have been fine, but people sold on this being different from X-Factor, have not been sold on the live performances and public vote.

The BBC needs to revamp the show for next series, ditch Will.I.Am, another thing I said before the show started, and if Jessie J is going to continue to give away spoilers on twitter, ditch her as well.

TBH I personally would go much further, and employ some 6 Music types to help revamp the possible, possibly using a 6 Music presenter as "coach".

that could be good for Radio 2 listening figures. Most of us can listen to Radio 2 on our TVs now, so maybe if people use it as background to a BBQ, they will leave the TV on Radio 2.

I might have to agree. Holly builds up to his comments and he starts off with a pause. Completely kills the flow.

They need a new sheet of paper for the live shows.

Perhaps BBC1 should have put The Voice on at 11.15pm so that it got a big lead-in from Eurovision.

It would have the distinct advantage that the average viewer will be much drunker by 11.15pm.
