as in the CBBC Channel?

I think an episode of Tracy Beaker Returns and SJH have both reached the 900,000 mark. But generally their top show brings in about 450,000.

A sad state of affairs when you consider the ratings CBBC on BBC1 used to get.

Sadly someone at the BBC decided to narrow its focus to 6-12 year olds and shift the emphasis to the CBBC channel.

I suspect The Hump ain't best pleased, but the 2013-14 BBC budget already looks a bit healthier!

As for the weather, phew! I saw the numbers for last night, and if stocks of charcoal in supermarkets today are as reliable a predictor of ratings as National Grid kettle surge stats, then I think we can expect some jaw droppingly low numbers tomorrow, especially for The Voice which should be completely torpedoed now.

Did anyone check the stocks of s in the Ratings Thread storecupboard today? We could be all out by 9.45am....

This guy is like a government spin-doctor, and everything is so transparently done in this gee-wizz style of chummyness.

Why? Who knows.

Superb Eurosong figures given the heat, the football, the voting, and a UK flop!

Did not see those strong numbers coming!

Eurovision didn't do too badly at all considering the weather.

That's a great rating considering the weather and the England match. I was expecting 6.5 million

Low compared with last year but surprisingly stable apart from that. Now, what about...The Voice

Well done to Eurovision being only 2 million down on last year

Good for Eurovision given the circumstances. A huge peak as ever, too.

Very low looking peak for the football but Eurovision will have dented it. The weather won't have helped either.

Now, what about The Voice?

I'm going for 4 million!

You'd think if there was something positive to report for The Voice, it would have been on Twitter by now...

Bear in mind that was well up on the norm anyway. 7.5m would have been OK/respectable on a cold May weekend with no competing attractions on ITV1.

The football didn't do that badly, although I'd be interested to know when the peak was. Did people just watch the first 15 minutes (during the Lotto draws) and then defect en masse to Baku at 8pm? The average may have been as pants as the match itself...

Is that the actual rating or your prediction? I remember previously you've posted predictions on the thread which people thought was the actual rating!

In view of the football and Eurovision both being higher than I was expecting, I'll up my forecast for The Voice to 5.2 million. But sub 4m would be funny.

I did initially take gary's (assumed) prediction as genuine because I do actually think it will have done well to hit 4m and with its climax just as the footie kicked off, a peak of around 5m might have been the best it could hope for - if people decided to record it and watch at leisure. With 3.5 hrs of Eurosong though, they won't have watched before the overnight viewing cut off.

If the heat can knock 2m off EastEnders or Emmerdale, it can certainly knock another 2m off The Voice.

Ratings down for Eurofarce all across the continent. Remember thsi was the first year since 2007 that Eurovision wasnt against Britains Got Talent, so the 2008-2011 ratings were not as good as they couldve been due to Britains Got Talent clashes. If you look at the five years prior to 2008, Eurovision got a lower rating yesterday than all of those years. The heat was bad but what if its share was down too?

If true, then not absolute meltdown. But as good as.

It will be slaughtered by the press, and I think that's the final nail in the coffin. Unless it somehow rallies for the final (on what looks to be a promising weather Jubilee weekend), then it's sunk as far as I'm concerned - and won't be back.
