I thought it was bought on a 2 year deal? They'll have to bring it back regardless; they'd get rightly lynched for wasting £22m+ otherwise (although most call it a total waste anyway).

Thanks soupnazi, about what I was expecting for The Voice. Do you have the ratings and shares for Eurovision, National Lottery Draws and football please?

Tom Jones has indicated that he wouldn't return if Jessie J doesn't. I personally think Willoughby is a personality-free zone and should be replaced. In fact I can't see any of them returning with the exception, perhaps, of Danny.

I think Danny has done the best out of it, he was unknown by a huge proportion of people and has come across really well, he does not need any more association with it though, it is a poisoned chalice now, think they may find it hard now to get people to commit to it, unless they have less live shows the auditions were so entertaining, but I don't watch now.

Think they should just write the Voice off as a big mistake and move on.
Tom Jones on Andrew Marr didnt look very enthusiastic about defending it and the ratings, and said he wants to get this one over with before deciding if he will do another.

Ok I know most people will take the viewing figures as the weather factor etc....me personally i like to think of it as the Cheryl factor, as soon as this non entity stops appearing on our TV screens, people might actually start watching shows she is associated with again. You gotta luv the irony of a show that is derided continuosly, had one of its worst songs in years, has a bunch of very dodgy so called singers, some singing in foreign languages, obliterates a Uk song contest heavily dependant on people with so called fantastic Voices, who also happened to have one of i say again the so called biggest names in Uk music as its guest star

Thanks. Solid for Eurovision- its share is pretty consistent with the last 10 years (apart from 2010) and it comfortably beat the football. The Norway v England rating is about a million lower than I predicted on the RPG, though at the time of predicting I didn't know there would be a heat wave! I have a feeling England matches during Euro 2012 won't be quite as big as what we've seen in previous major tournaments (20m peaks in primetime etc).

The Voice's fall has been spectacular which is a shame as it was going so well. Before it started they would have been happy with 6m. Now it isn't even getting that. Will be interesting to see what Danny Cohen has to say on Points Of View today. The ratings aren't good at all. Will he be honest or spin?

I can only speak for myself but despite it's issues I had been watching and quite enjoying The Voice. But the day it was confirmed CC was going to guest on it I decided not to watch again and haven't.

She is everything the show seemed to be against in so much as she is just style over substance and at best a poor singer.

For me any credibility the show might have had just went right out of the window.

Surely the BBC must have realised that The Voice could be sunk by some nice weather in May and the competing attractions of England friendlies, Champions League Finals, BGT?

I'm no fan of the show, and wanted it to fail - but when a show starts with 10m, hits 12m, then slumps to 5-6m at best, questions need to be asked. It's the scheduling which seems to have killed all momentum, and in truth, killed the show stone dead.

I agree. The decision to invite her onto the show utterly destroyed it.

Poor for The Voice... even poorer for the football.

Soupnazi, how did the F1 do on BBC1 from 12.10 to 2.15? Thanks

And one more request - the F1 Qualifying on Sky Sports F1 from 12pm to 2.45pm?

In all honesty the show was sinking before Cheryl Cole was announced or appeared on the show so you can't blame her!

Significant sporting day today.

The BBC's last ever live broadcast of the PGA golf from Wentworth and ITV's first day of broadcasting the French Open tennis.

I wish ITV all the best and hope the blanket coverage a tennis Grand Slam deserves, pays dividends for them.

Looking at the breakdown, the England match itself was just about ahead of Eurovision head-to-head on average. Eurovision then picked up a lot of viewers in the 10pm hour.
