Indeed. As a format The Apprentice has seen much better days internationally. Although the BBC version seems to have held up slightly better than those seen in the rest of the world. Looking at it though you can't help but feel there's not that much life left in it. Will Lord Sugar want to stick around when it 'plummets' to 5 million over nights next year? And really there's only so much reworking of the format you can do to freshen things up.

Of course you only really have to worry about it if the BBC announce 'The Apprentice All-Stars' for next year. You know a reality show is in trouble when they start peddling out 'all-star' versions with former contestants.

Lorraine's ratings are shrinking, obviously she is practicing for when she take over Daybreak.

So confirmation then that the Jubilee Concert seems set to start at 7.30pm on BBC1, and that unlike in 2002, there will be no early EE at 7pm (clashing with EmFm) but instead will move to Wednesday.

One wonders if ITV will run an hour of Coro at 7.30; it would be rather daft to have people switch to the concert at 8pm and not come back. Then again, they do just that against CIN and Comic Relief.

And with The Voice struggling a tad, and BGT now finished, it's good to see that Simon Cowell has been recruited as a somewhat rather unlikely cheerleader for the show.

Appearing on R4's Today programme to talk about his concerns over the similarities between The Voice and the singing contest format he alone invented and put on air for the first time anywhere in the world ever with The X Factor, this has resulted in other media picking up the story - currently 4th most read story on the BBC News website (the saving of the GM plant at Ellesmere Port only ranking 10th)

..., and I notice the late June/early July ones have been chosen for dates when Andrew Murray is unlikely to be playing, but what happens to these specials if the sainted one is for some reason on the tennis court at those times? Will the region in question opt out of Murray coverage on BBC One, or will he receive a national demotion to BBC Two?

There's every point to peaks in a drama, as it shows how many people either joined or left a show during its broadcast. It rather sounds like ITV used the peak figure for PR purposes - i.e. to try and disguise the show being beaten by The Apprentice.

Talking of audience retention, might anyone here have the quarter-hour breakdowns for Tuesday night's Silk?

The plane will do a lot of flying around Cornwall before landing. It will have a lot of extra adding in the schedule to allow for delays before landing at RNAS Culdrose.

I can't imagine it will be delayed, unless there was a serious problem.
