Oh the irony. Sweet, beautiful irony.

Thankfully not as much as Tuesday nights on ITV1 from 7:30-10:00 Seriously I hope TV can beat ECL tonight by 0.5m or so, the football is a bit routine in the opening 15 minutes, the prematch build up just went on forever....

Glitches on live television are pretty rare, let us hope ITV1 don't go for any early ad breaks tonight...

9m - think there is more chance of Lemonaid getting 9m than The Voice!

I actually think it would have done better had it not been billed as 'The One Show' and instead been billed as 'BBC News Special' or 'London 2012 - The Torch Arrives'.”

I agree - this weeks torch specials should have been handled by BBC Sport rather than BBC News and been billed as Olympic specials, not One Show specials.

VIP is getting a fair bit of publicity especially on Radio 1 so to be under 1m is disapointing. Unlike her previous show though I'd say this one is worth a second shot - but C4 need to stick with comedy on Friday nights in the long term, although we all know as soon as viewers are used to it once again it'll be yanked off in favour of Million Pound Drop.

LOL. Only seen bits and pieces tonight but tuning into songs mid-performance nobody is strong enough to encourage you not to hop on to the next channel. I'm guessing too those spinning chairs just really are not that comfortable as the judges are always standing up for no reason at all.

I think The Voice will definitely peak at over 9m; there's been enough mayhem tonight to pull in drifting viewers to see what on Earth is happening. The early start may pull it down slightly, as well as the 15 minute clash with the Champions League final itself. But it should at least be in the 7m's (possibly around the 8m mark), I would've thought.

Do you think The Voice or ITV1 Champions League Final will have the biggest average tonight? Obviously Champions League Final will have a higher peak and even game rating but with the averages, who do you think will be top Fudd? Remember as well a couple million of us will be watching the Champions League Final on Sky Sports.

Adele just dropped an 'S-bomb' live at the Albert Hall on BBC3/HD (and it was not even live; it was recorded last September)

Good question, so...

DSRPG Predicted Averages
The Voice: 6.6m
Champions League Final (ITV): 7.5m

The Champions League looks about right for me and before tonight's episode I would've said The Voice looks good as well but with all the mishaps stirring up some hype it could do a little bit better. I think there could be 0.1-0.5m between them but I think the Champions League will just about win.

Thank you Fudd. It is a boring Champions League Final so far. My prediction is The Voice might just about be ahead if the final doesnt go into extra time, but if it does go into extra time the Champions League will be ahead in the average ratings.

The F bomb will probably delay TV UK making it onto iPlayer.

Which is a pity, since I want to see the uncut version!

It's certainly not a classic but football fans will not care about that. The early start could hurt The Voice, plus some of the potential audience may be in pubs ready for the big match which could decrease the average as well. Whereas the Champions League have the pub audience and a split between ITV and Sky, but then Barcelona v Manchester United averaged 7.9m last year (ITV alone) and this final is more intriguing than that one as the winner is still not clear 60 minutes in. The question is will the lack of thrill so far hurt it?

They usually let that word go now pre-watershed. Not considered that bad.

Why on earth would people who've given up on The Voice because the live shows are crap now decide to tune in to the live shows as they've seen somebody confirming they've reached a whole new level of crapness online?

Lol, I dont know how Chelsea are doing it. They have been battered all the way through the knockout process but they just dont fall down.

Before it was supposedly boring and rubbish; now it's seemingly entering the 'it's so bad it's good' category. Plus the population likes a car crash and it certainly delivered on that score tonight.

Until now...I think I can hear the Tottenham cheers from here!

I'm not sure if it will make that much of a difference tbh.

DSRPG ANNOUNCEMENT

As the Champions League final has gone into extra time, I'm going to allow everyone to change their prediction for the two Champions League ratings only.

If you wish to change your prediction/s, please private message me your new prediction/s by 9am tomorrow morning.

Good luck everyone!

Certainly ITV should be sending Abramovich a bottle or two-Chelsea are not even good enough to qualify for the CL.Like the Premier League you just could not make it up.

No doubts where the high peaks are coming from tonight.

Bayern Munich finished eight points off this year's Champions as well - the Champions League final is being contested between two former champions rather than two current ones. To be fair, I think Chelsea may have a better chance of fourth had they not had one eye on the Cup finals they were competiting in.
