It often seems that the best option NBC have as a lead-in for America's Got Talent is in fact, a repeat of America's Got Talent!
![]() In y-o-y comparisons, American Idol was down 32% to what must be a series low for a performance show (let alone finale performance). Glee's 3.0 is down 35% from last seasons 4.6. Dancing With The Stars is down 29%. Tonight is the last night of the television season. Season finales of The Middle, Modern Family, Don't Trust The B in Apt 23, Revenge, American Idol and Law & Order: SVU. |

could you imagine if we used the same tactics here. X Factor repeat followed by the X Factor, or with TV or BGT.

Well looking at the Daily mail Danny Cohen article makes me feel proud to be a reader of The Independent.
Even is you hate Danny Cohen to bits that article is just an absolute travesty. And people read it! Ken |

Oh dear, I hope they regret cancelling Ringer. The LA Complex is doing atrociously.

There must have been a severe data glitch at BARB, maybe there was not a full data upload from all the home boxes. C4 Sales & Attentional have not had any data displayed so far.

Thanks for those.
So BGT had another broadly flat year then. Before the series started they'd have definitely taken that but after the auditions did well they might be a little disappointed that it wasn't up a bit overall, but the semi finals let them down. The final being up a bit was a nice note for them to end on though and bodes well for next year. Worth noting too that much of that decline is simply because they did the final in one show this year instead of splitting it into two shows. The hourly average for this series (weighting episodes based on running time so probably quite a useful stat for ITV as obviously longer episodes are more important for ad revenue) was 11.05m (inc +1), which is almost identical to last year's hourly average of 11.06m (inc +1). Obviously on here we mainly use the normal averages but the bean counters at ITV will probably look at that figure (or the equivalent average in the overnights). Also they got an extra half hour out of BGT this year so they probably made slightly more revenue on it overall, so a pleasing year for it. I suspect too now after The Voice the BBC may look to other genres in 2014. Quote:
That Friday schedule looks weird though - two hours of NCIS and then BB Eviction at 10?

im thinking the two NICS on Friday is a repeat, no reason to have two new episode on randomly for no reason.

I assume NCIS is a repeat otherwise it's pretty poor scheduling for NCIS viewers. I guess they're just playing out repeats against Euro 2012 games and giving BB the post-match 10pm slot.
Must be down to Casualty. Unusual to have NCIS reruns on a weeknight. |

I assume the Monday 4th schedule on C5, is down to the Jubilee Concert. As for Friday 8th, it seems a bit odd to go into panic mode because of Casualty.

I believe 1.55m for The Exit List in February was their previous lowest rating in that slot. Some low ratings for the soaps too. |

The 7.30 EastEnders seemed to be hit hard by the warm weather. Good rating for the BBC3 showing though. Silk still doing really well.
Horrendous share for ITV1. Just woeful. |

Eurovision did very well indeed. Clearly the Jedward effect is repeating itself. If it can sustain that kind of audience interest for Thursday it would be superb! However I fear that the shambolic presenting, not mentioning any names *cough* Sara cox *cough* and the lack of Jedward will dent it significantly. Nevertheless the final should rate well!

Did I introduce the Daily Mail article to the thread? As i said previously, I dont need to read the DM to form my opinion of The Voice's performance.
As for the rest of you, you claim to be outraged by the DM yet keep posting articles from it on DS. If you dont like it, dont read it and link to it. End of story. And stop all the mock outrage stuff. |
