Suggests an early September start, doesn't it? So maybe we'll see a split series with some episodes in September and October, then a short break, then the Christmas one and the series picking up again in January.

There was a network which promoted the start of the series in September. I can't remember which it was or whether it was swiftly denied.

According to a comment on Blogtor it was the ABC (Australia).

At the very least, we know where they stand on spoilers. So I can't see a long gap between this and the TV airing, surely?

i thought there was previous reports to show that the series wouldn't be split per say but would air half before the Xmas special and half immediately after

That's what they said they were aiming for but it was also stated that things could change.

The TV Premiere could still be in November of course just with a news/review embargo on the August showing.

If it's at the Filmhouse, there will be a public sale. And I will get in.

I fail to see how you could stop people going online afterwards.

Do you mean tickets just for the episode showing, seperate from the 250 quid needed to attend the MediaGuardian event?

Typical! Why does everything cool happen in foreign places? I wish that just for once they'd put things on in London. Or further south. Nothing ever happens round here. *throws toys out of pram*

(joking, obviously. Hope you get in and have a good time. Remember to keep spoilers tagged and out of thread titles!)

Blimey. *throws more toys out of pram* Bit cheaper than 250 quid then. . All the best with that then.

I hope it's on telly soon after. Otherwise it'll be weeks of dodging spoilers!

It would make sense for the BBC to show it from September then have it finish with Amy and Rory leaving allowing it to have a break for a few months so the BBC could show Merlin. Then have the Xmas special before the second half starts in the new year!

The Edinburgh Filmhouse screening is 10am-11.30am on Saturday 25th August, so I imagine they're showing the 1st 2 episodes.

My only concern is that the series might feel very disjointed if it starts in August/early Sept, then has a break before Christmas, and then (possibly?) has a small break before continuing after Christmas...

It makes sense. We'll get the first five episodes of Series 7 from August 25th - September 22nd, Merlin's fifth series from September 29th - December 22nd and then the Christmas special (Series 7, episode 6) from December 25th and the remaining episodes in 2013.

I actualy love this....that means we are a mere 6 weeks or so away from Doctor Who being back on...will give me time to mourn Amy and Rory leaving and set up the second half of series 7 with the Christmas special....then perhaps either a Jan start for the remaining 8 episodes Jan onwards or March start perhaps??

Plus it will give Moffat a good three months to really drum up pulbicity for the new companion as well as some breathing space between her debut and Amy/Rory's exit episode.

I'd like a January start myself but it could be later I suppose.

That would have been to the general public. BFI members get early access, and all the tickets are gone.

Yep. Nightmare booking system though, nearly lost out as the tickets I originally had 'disappeared' on the system before checkout & I had to start again

But just managed to get a couple of the last ones; My partner is a very happy bunny
