I switched on my Humax 9150 this morning (May 9th) and I've had no EPG since then (it's now afternoon). It was OK at the weekend. The Freeview channels are all there and watchable but I can't preset anything for recording. I've done a rescan (aerial out and then in) but it's made no difference. My EPG is totally blank, as is the information window when I press "i" for any programme I'm watching.

What's gone wrong?

I have no idea what is wrong but I would try a reset to default settings.

I'm in mid-Surrey. so presumably Crystal Palace transmitter. But I did a rescan and nothing's changed.

Despite the update date (above), I did the two rescans around Digital Changeover day and everything was fine until this morning.

I had a brainwave and turned the Hummy off at the mains switch, then back on. The EPG began to populate slowly and it's now (ten minutes later) almost completely full-just ITV1 is a bit sparse as I write.

Now I always leave my Hummy on standby overnight so I don't miss any OTA updates (I was advised to do this on this forum). Have I just stumbled across a drawback of doing this? Like an EPG problem?

Or is it a cumulative effect of just rescanning at Changeover Day and not switching-off-at-the-mains-and-then-back-on before rescanning?

You're best to leave the machine in STANDBY rather than switching OFF at the mains when not in use, your EPG problem is not normal. A re-boot (mains OFF, wait 30 seconds, mains ON) is good sometimes (the Hummy is a little computer after all) but if you think your machine might have a problem then, as Martin suggests above, a Default Setting is the thing to do. If you want a belt and braces approach, do a re-boot then follow the advice in my post #9 here.
