Dennis Egel! Why was Simon so enthusiastic about him?

I thought I had missed some sort of spectacular event when I heard the way SIimon Cowell was talking about Dennis Egel after his 'performance!...Did he really just stand still, attempt to sing and then got lifted up in the air?, oh and have his wings opened!

What was his 'act' all about?

That was pretty much it. I imagine Cowell's reaction was to avoid a sympathy vote.

Also it lets us have one night where the last act to perform doesn't actually make it through so they can't claim there's any sort of fix around the running order.

I think this guy proved you don't actually have to have any talent to get through on this show, you simply have to design yourself a really way out weird costume.

He could afford to wax lyrical about him knowing full well he had no chance of threatening his favourites in the vote.
