Im going to say no. lol why don't you just buy a chicken breast, marinate it, grill and slice. Stuff it in a pitta with plenty of salad and chilli sauce. Prob only cost about £4 and much healthier.

I'd agree with the above.
Think of it as a marinated chicken salad. As for the takeaway version then it will depend on the takeaway as to how they make theirs. It will be healthier than a donner but probably not as healthy as marinated & grilled chicken breast which is an easy home made alternative and infact most of the takeways around here do that for they chicken kebabs. We don't get the authentic ones on the spit anymore. You can make a nice garlic sauce with natural yoghurt. |

haha there you go moose, all you have to buy is the salad and pitta. Give it a go and see how it turns out.

Of course chicken shish from a Turkish kebab shop is healthy. What's wrong with if? Marinated chicken, chargrilled with flatbread and salad - great!
And for those that say grill your own chicken breast - there's something rather special that an open chargrill imparts on the chicken that makes the Turkish preparation worthwhile. |

A chicken kebab only becomes unhealthy if you add salad dressing and/or garlic sauce. Chilli sauce isn't so bad because it speeds up your metabolism, which helps your body to burn fat quicker.

You're much better to go for a chicken shish!!
If you do have a chicken donor though it's fine as an occasional treat, leaving the mayo off isn't going to make it healthy though

Chicken doner is all the shit bits of chicken, have chicken shish instead, much healthier as it's skinless breast pieces.

I had one of those chicken doners once, it was horrible. Didn't really taste of chicken. Chicken Shish much nicer. Might have one tonight with all this talk!
