How far people get is often down to accident. Adam's still there, for Pete's sake! How did that happen?

I disagree, apart from Jenna the show is now full of either livelier and entertaining characters-such as Adam, he is an idiot but he is hilarious, or more business saavy characters like Tom. Part of Sir Alans requirements this year is that you have to make yourself known, he's clearly shown he's not going to let anyone take a backseat with the last few firings and I think if Laura didn't go tonight then she'd of gone in the next few weeks, she cant compete on a personality basis with stronger characters that are left in the competition.

Adam... is an idiot but he is hilarious.
It's interesting how different people see different things. While he says some stupid things that are mildly amusing, I can't see where he's been hilarious - he's no Siddiq (sp?) or Baggs for example.

I don't find the characters are that strong either compared with some in the past - I suppose Tom has a quiet strength in a way, but the others are ostentatiously competitive, rather than particularly strong. I suspect they try to be what they think is strong, but its a bit of an ersatz effort in many cases.

Oh dont get me wrong I think he's a total and absolute tool, but that's why he's funny, he's just an absolute moron. Like the other week when he was talking about Jade, "Nice girl, I like working with her and all that.......*pulls face* Wouldn't date her though I just lol'd so hard.

And I forgot to mention Steve as another one who should go in the next few weeks. He is just a worse and incapable Jim, he cant even perform mind tricks, total idiot.

I've chuckled at one or two things, but if you consider that he is this series archetype of the contestant with an Alan Partridge-esque hubris and lack of self-awareness, then, as I said, you start putting him up agaist the likes of Baggs and Siddiq - and IMO he's a pale imitation in terms of jaw-dropping entertainment value. I somwhow doubt he'll be referred to by Sugar in future series, like Baggs, or still be laughed at on forums in a few series time, like Siddiq.

Totally agree - and again that further illustrates my point about this series. Many aspects of the show seem regurgitated from past series and some contestants seem like deliberately cast, poor imitations of what has gone before.

I never saw anything especially promising about Laura, she seemed a bit dull and didn't appear to have any good ideas for any of the tasks.

Laura's no great loss. There's a big difference between running a small business and showing the kind of big investment potential Sugar is looking for. A nice enough girl, but she made th mistake of sitting back and not building up enough of a bank of brownie points to get her out of trouble.

For me, even in defeat Tom came out of this task quite well. And he had done enough over the past several weeks to earn his get out of jail free card.

I don't think she did sit back; when you think about what she contributed, it was as much as most of the others. Admittedly she's only been PM once, but in most tasks she did put herself forward to do things, was forward in her opinions and ideas. It's unfortunate that as PM, when she had the most potential to be noticed, she didn't do well, and that her idea of the splash shield wasn't very good, but I don't think any lack of effort was involved. I'm sure she would have loved to have built up a bank of brownie points, but it didn't happen. Being brought into the boardroom by Ricky when she'd done everything right in that task probably didn't help.

Each to their own. When she was on screen it was always her I was looking at.
