Just out of interest, if I were to log in using my Facebook account, would that count as having multiple accounts (which I believe is against the rules) or can you not even use your FB account for the forums?

I don't get why people like to "slay" IE.
It's decent for the daily use and the normal user and it's being updated frequently.

Putting down IE is only a trend to sound like a specialist.
IE is still being used by most people, so you can't just ignore it.

EDIT: FOR ME IT'S STILL NOT WORKING
Can you try clearing your cookies and then trying again on IE? I've just tried and it worked, whereas it didn't before.

Also the issue with Internet Explorer should now be resolved. For those that used it before and switched to a new browser temporarily, could you try now and let us know how it goes?
Yep, just to re-iterate. Switched back to IE from Firefox, and got straight in using my usual password. Thanks.

I logged in using my DS account, when asked which name to use I put Henry Bane, then on comments I come up as Henry Bane, came on the forums and I'm still HenryBane without the space (which I don't like).

I don't have a Facebook account, not sure what would happen if I had one and logged into DS with it and not my DS account, how would it know it was me, from my ISP?

I like it too! Think I was just using IE out of laziness. Things seem set out better too.

Theres an option to use your real name and one for your fb name or forum name if you log in with your fb account (i think thats right thats what i did) it logs me as petra pahlavi if i click use FBook name.. and pet1986 if i click forum name... i didnt actually enter any name i think in the blank name fields?

Okay thank you very much. It's working in IE again now but only if you log in at the top of the page.

If you click on "Add Reply" (and havent been logged in), it doesn't work, right?

Do you mean users who comment on articles can then come to the forums? If so, yes. Previously users needed one log in (Facebook) to comment on articles and one for the forums. This way you only need one (and you don't need a Facebook profile to do either - the option is just there for familiarity for those that wish to continue using their FB).
Thanks Andy

This could get brutal There's a good reason we all argue the toss under a pseudonym, lol. I hope it works out, in principle it sounds like a great idea!

Just a little question, what browser did you use before you got firefox? Didnt realise that any modern-ish browsers didnt have a spell check... colour me curious
It may have a spell checker, maybe I never turned it on or something as it certainly wasn't 'just there' like on Firefox.

Correcting my spelling used to take ages and I would have to Google stuff to check it, this is much better it'll save me a lot of time!

Not sure if you have browser skins on IE, but via Add-Ons on Firefox (Click Tools, then Add-Ons) you can change the style of browser, mine is mostly black (Office Black 2.0.1).

It should still allow you to choose a user name that will display on the forums. You can then select to use your real name or the user name (the one you pick will be displayed on the comments, but should have no effect on your forum account).

Is this what's causing the site to crawl along at the moment? In the last few minutes pages have started taking ages to open.
