This morning I had to fight my way through a Royal Mint coin ad to get through. The log in details appeared exactly where you had to click to get information from Royal Mint.

Fun fun fun!

Took me over 30 minutes. What's wrong with them?

Logging in isn't very straight forward for DS accounts it seems. After I log on I get the account update pop-up, but don't want to update anything. I then click forums again to get the 'log in with DS account link' and then log on for a second time. So it seems you have to log in twice to use the forums, I think.

It's taking me several attempts to log in. Yesterday I even had to update my details which I have never had to do before.

Opera still not working.
I really hate it when people fiddle with perfectly good systems and mess them up.

I rebooted my Puter and my DS login wouldn't work, kept saying username of password incorrect.

Had to sign in using Facebook.

I'm on Firefox browser.

Ok, getting fed up with this, yesterday was fine, now every time I try to log in i am asked for my name which is already in there. Maybe DS think they are Starbucks.

sort it out, by the way I am using Comodo Dragon ( chrome)

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Two days ago, not a problem signing in, very straightforward.

Now it's a nightmare, very frustrating.

Lol at Starbucks .

I thought I had it sussed eventually yesterday, but getting really fed up now - why make it so difficult to get in? I can get into my bank account more easily! At the very least I have to 'log in' and then go to another page, scroll down and 'log in' again. And that's the easy way. And don't even mention suddenly ending up on that page asking for your details. Grrrrrrrr.

Better check your birth certificate just in case they've been at that too...

I can only sign in using the 'Sign in using DS account' on top left. If I click to reply to a thread while signed out I just go on the sign in/details/not signed in/sign in/details loop.

Hopefully that is fixed soon.

This is just getting silly now, 3 times I tried to sign in with Firefox and it kept telling me it was the wrong sign in and password. Fourth time lucky, this happened to me yesterday as well. I could not find anything wrong with the previous system that DS has used for years. Probably linked to that silly Facebook rubbish.

I've just been through all that this morning, after not logging in for a couple of days. I also almost deleted my account - clicked on something I assumed would let me escape the personal details form and got a *why do you want to delete your account* box. Not good.

Strange. With Chrome I've stayed logged in like I normally do both at home and office.

Wow, hey guys let's break a perfectly good system and make it harder for people to use...

I wonder how many people have closde their accounts by accident today.

The now inevitable narrow screen with big empty borders has invaded the site...what the hell is the point in a having widescreen monitor these days when everyhting seemes set up for iphones and such other rubbish?

Why are people having issues with this?? I've got FF ver. 12 and DS has worked perfectly fine for me since the changes were made. It's not difficult or laborious. In fact it's hardly different at all.

Turns out we have one slightly wonky server so, if you're unlucky, this one will try to process your login and it will fail even if your credentials are correct. Fix rolling out shortly!

edit: done - anybody still having problems should try to login with their old forums password

Yes, me too. I've been trying since yesterday afternoon [Thursday], and have just managed it a few moments ago.

I sent an email to DS, but they asked me which browser I was using. We were still talking by email when I suddenly found that I was OK again.

And it will get worse, Google+ will be the next or Twitter.

A lot of sites have now changed to sign in with facebook, sure they still got their own log in system, but for how long?

i like to keep my facebook on facebook, if i want a link on Facebook, I will cut and paste thank you very much.

sorry i gave wrong info earlier. googling for mobile ds will always get usa site (due to keywords).

connecting to m digitalspy co uk will get mobile site using wap protocols. the new sign-in is then still https but should work in most mobile browsers.

u can then change to desktop version if that works in your browser. and should stay logged in.

for firefox login on desktop pc i now disable javascript and open the login page in new tab.

on my kindle javascript must be off to access ds at all. i cant speak for other mobile phones and tablets.

bit more browsers testing before site change wd have been nice.

note. after getting m digitalspy co uk the forums link is somewhere on page bottom.

after wap login the link for desktop version is on forums page.

for those having difficulties ...... note that wap login as above should work on ALL browsers including desktop pcs. in theory. all browsers should auto detect the wap protocols. then just selct desktop version if u want that instead .......
