You've reminded me that my son has a collie which loves dragging an old single bed throw around, she fights with it, sleeps on it and drags it up and down the stairs with her as well. Bit of a comfort blanket really, although she's a very happy dog.

Empty crisp packets folded up and flicked across the floor... My ponytail bands which the little sods steal from my handbag and bedside cabinet. These can usually be retrieved from under the sofa. Offcuts of fishing line from OHs rods. They like to 'help' him too when he's making his rigs up .

Both my cats go mad for wrapping paper (adds a new dimension to Christmas Day!), and sweet wrappers!

My little Pixie likes a big blusher brush I have, she goes crazy rubbing her face on it lol and rather typically she loves plastic bags!

Patch likes shoelaces and bubblewrap envelopes!

The Beast likes playing with pens and pencils, he bites the pencils so they are full of tooth marks.

Not 'free' in the true sense but I was given a big black glove puppet bird as a joke gift some time back, and if had a squawk thing in the jaw you could squeeze for noise.

When the beast was a kitten I would tease him by coming up behind wearing the puppet and 'squawk' He would get really angry and attack it.

If I left it lying around he would sneak up on it and jump on the thing and attack it and drag it around, it was bigger than he was.

Sometimes he would set of the squawk, that would scare him and he would run away, only to come back a while later for another go.

The thing ended up in a right manky state, but it kept him entertained.

Emery boards... I swear one of my cats can hear me filing my nails a mile off. He attacks it, bunny-kicks it, chews it?! Little weirdo.

Me.
At about five in the morning, massive meeeow in my ear, I turn over, she walks over my head to give my other ear the same vocal. It's not for food, just think she's doing it to piss me off.
Sometimes I hiss at her which used to work when she was younger. What can I do? she's 18 and I love her.
It's become a battle of wits now, pulling the duvet over my head doesn't work, she sits where my face is.
My cat is not the boss, but I let her think she is because most of the time she's always by my side. I am blessed with fantastic pets.

TL : DR?

My cat loves waking me up at inappropriate times.

Bed linen changing day was always a challenge with my Impossible Princess as she was always trying to get into the duvet cover when I was trying to stuff it in.

The inners tubes of toilet and kitchen rolls, my bunny loves them. It's hilarious watching him throw around the toilet roll tubes.
