The lines are very blurred between when graffiti is considered art and when is it defacement and vandalism and a criminal offence.

Most of the stuff shown last night seemed gloomy and agressive and to do with devils and monsters.
I don't care if someone wants to spend their money buying this stuff for their private collection but it's not right to have it imposed on everyone in some public place in the name of 'art'

Most of the art last night seemed less street art and more like american comic book art from the 1950s.
It's street art in my opinion if it enhances the area in which it has been done , its graffiti if it doesnt

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, It doesn't matter about the content, that doesnt make it criminal damage if it's not defacing any where no matter how ugly someone thinks it is.

James Jessop's was influenced by 50s pulp horror and late 70s/early 80s graffiti. I loved it. I'm a huge fan pop art, stuff influenced by comics, advertising and propaganda.

Most of the street art shown in Bristol was from the See No Evil event last year, partly funded by the City Council.

While some people moan that it's just vandalism I think it's done wonders for the area. I read that footfall for local businesses has shot up dramatically since the event. It's transformed what was previously a boring grey street into one of the most interesting bits of Bristol.
