If none of the former female judges are returning to fill Kelly's spot, it seems like Alesha is the only option? She has done well on BGT I think - a rare example of someone coming across better on the live shows than the edited auditions (where she was largely edited out!) - but I'm not sure she's the big name they need?

I guess ITV must be saving a fortune on the Cowell/Cole/Minogue years which probably keeps them happy.

There don't seem to be any other credible candidates - it seems unlikely that ITV will spend the money required to get someone like Katy Perry. So they're looking for people on Alesha's level.

Any other suggestions?

Alesha would be great. Seriously, I love her energy and style. However, as much as I love her, I'd rather see her stick to BGT as she's really made her presence felt there and has great chemistry with Amanda and David. I don't think she'd suit something as serious as The X Factor and I'd hate to read negative press about her.

I don't think the UK needs a big name for X Factor. It doesn't have a need to sell it with a 'Britney Spears' but it does need a likeable judge like Alesha. However, I'm really not sure she is a good fit. She's brilliant on BGT however. I really don't know.

And I still don't think Dannii Minogue is out of the running yet. Has she actually said she won't do it? Just that it would be difficult with a young child and she is concentrating on Got Talent at the moment. That's not a denial.

Something tells me she's got the job. Danni already ruled herself out. But if she does X Factor hope she still does another series of BGT.

Me too. BGT is where she belongs!

Imagine it though... SCD from BGT to XF

Next stop, Dancing on Ice

I really do love her. She's an astonishingly grounded and kind hearted person, and she's got herself to thank for getting as far as she has in life. Love her to bits!

I really like Alesha too, she strikes me as very down to earth - and she has got a great personality. Wouldn't be a bad thing if she gets the X Factor job imo, I think she'd be perfect.

She's coming across really well in Britain's Got Talent, but I think she should stay there. Jumping ship again is just messy.

Don't count Dannii out just yet. You know all the nonsense every year about who the final Judging panel will be. This is the same every year, and just part of the usual X Factor hype.

As to the OP's question. NO... Alesha won't be on the X Factor panel in my opinion as she's too fresh on BGT.

Because Danni said that she's to settled in Melbourne with her son. Plus AGT audition dates are on October,November, which is the same time as X factor.

Would love Danni and Alesha on the panel together.

i don't believe any of that. last year during the ratings `crisis`, simon was very much in touch with the judges and at one point even give the contestants a grilling via skype. i hope there is still a chance that she returns, but simon will be once again expecting results and will still have input in the show.

alesha is working out really well on britain`s got talent, the new panel seems to work. why rock the boat? i don't think they need a big name, but then ratings were down last year and the voice has now launched, so maybe, itv should be splashing out to bring a big name on board.

I agree. Alesha (with David Walliams) has been one of SC's few successes. Most seems to like them on the show - to mess with that now would be a bad idea.

I agree. Alesha has been a great addition to BGT. But to go from SCD to BGT to XF, one right after the other, is just too much of Alesha.

Alesha would be better than Tulisa but Alesha and Tulisa will be completely dull as both are far too alike.

You need a contrast in personalities between the judging panel. This is why it worked so well between Sharon/Dannii and Cheryl/Dannii as they were completely different characters.

I hope Dannii returns and Alehsa replaces Tulisa.

The only way I'd be happy with her on XF is if she stayed on BGT. Imo this year's judging panel has been the best. Alesha, David, Amanda and Simon have such brilliant chemistry. Amanda and Alesha seem to genuinely get on which is unusual for two female judges (who are usually pitted against each other).

I would like Sharon Osbourne back!

why has it got to be another female, why not another male? The PI panel worked well with just one female and no singers at all as judges.
Personally, I'd prefer to balance the judges with either a record exec or a DJ or someone who is knowledgeable and genuinely a fan of music and not just there to promote themselves and their next album.

That's the producer auditions. The judge auditions are done in February.

Nadine coyle's successful enough to be on American TV. She'd be a great judge.
