Transformer Prime Power Drain

I was installing a few apps and downloads on to my Prime last evening, over wifi. When I finished, the tablet was fully charged, the dock was about 20% charged. I switched it off and when I tried to restart it this morning it was dead.

I normally switch off the wifi before shutdown but didn't do so and googling the issue that would seem to have been my mistake, but I can't understand why the battery would drain when the thing was switched off.

Anyone else experienced this?

Was it totally switched off or just in Standby mode? Sometimes in standby devices keep wi-fi on

Completely switched off but I think there's a bug as I've often turned it off completely only to open it up a day later to be presented with the lock screen.
