Was "The Olimpics" a joke?
I've just watched a recording of this week's "You've been fired" where Dara had a board with the candidates showing how many tasks they won.
Both the intro graphics and the board had Olimpics instead of Olympics. I started to doubt myself and think that I must be spelling it wrong as the BBC wouldn't be so stupid? ![]() Was this intentional due to some sort of in-joke that I've missed? Can't believe that no-one spotted it at the BBC. It's at 18 minutes into the latest episode. |

Yes, it was a continuation of a joke from the first episode.

The Olympic Committee likes to control how that word is used. By mis-spelling it, the show was being clear they were not an official sponsor. They (probably) didn't actually need to do that, but did anyway as a sort-of joke about commercialisation of the Olympics.
