Simon's a bad sport
Hotgossip

Simon definitely should have stuck to his promise of dancing with the dog.

I am not surprised he didn't though because he's not very confident in himself - apart from talking 10 to the dozen that is.

When he came on tonight in his jacket and jeans he looked very tense. He always has his trousers tailored so that his cuban heels are hidden (read that somewhere last week).

Trouble is to get the length right at the back, obviously the fronts have to be the same length and they always look too long and bunched up at the front. Then he had on pointy boots which don't suit his gait because he is pigeon-toed.

Other than that the old boy did OK tonight but a dance with Pudsey would have rounded it off nicely.

Thought the jeans/jacket combo was a bit of a poor show for,the final. A suit would have been nice even without a tie
I read in an article today where he had been admiring David's Tom Ford suits and David had volunteered to take him clothes shopping and style him ( yes please David )

He can't dance apparently he has two left feet

Well that can't be true becuase I have seen loads of pics where his heels are clearly visible! The man is an enigma, did you really think he would dance with the dog?

Why did he say it in the first place, if he didn't want to dance? He knew there was a good chance Ashleigh and Pudsey might win!

I think he underestimated them. Although he knew they were really popular I reckon he thought J & C would walk it in the pimp slot.

I can't believe Simon rocked up in a pair of jeans tonight like he was on his way to the pub!

Yeah, leave Simon alone!

People forget, he's not a performer. David can do the larking about, but it's not what Simon does. Yet he fulfills the essential role of the smug boss that everybody teases.

And who cares if he's a bit short and self-conscious about it. It's endearing really when he's so rich that he feels a bit inadequate.

Yes he must have done, but at the beginning of the week he was apparently saying they might win.

Also usually when people make promises like that it tends to be when there is only a really tiny chance of something happening!

Thats true, he is naturally quite a shy and insecure individual, quite sweet really

I'm glad Simon got what he wished with a dog act winning. Simon has worked incredibly hard for his success and I think he's a genuinely nice man that has done really well for himself. I think him and his shows come in for a lot of unfair criticism at times.

Yeah, you're right. I think he's a big old pussycat underneath. I did say the old boy did OK in my post.

I doubt that the dog would have danced with/for Simon anyway.

Yeah, I agree. He's not a performer and I wouldn't hold it against him for not performing with Pudsey.

He's only human.

^^^ This. Totally agree. Simon doesn't need to make a pratt of himself on live tv. He would lose respect if he did. It's like when your boss at work 'joins in' with the madness of the office Xmas party. Nobody has the same respect for them the next day.

Is there a typo in the thread title? Don't think that 'p' should be there.

So he was wearing jeans, I thought so, what a bloke.

I thought he showed himself up to be a really miserable git by refusing to dance.

Simon didn't need to 'dance' with Pudsey. All he needed to do was get up on stage, and have Pudsey weave through his legs as he was walking, or have him stand on his back. You know, something like that. I thought he was a bit of a meanie for breaking his promise.

At least he's still an animal lover at the end of the day, and has given loads of money to help them too. He ranks highly in my books for that. )

I don't think Simon is that confident except when he's sitting behind a desk.

I believe that is why he probably admires someone like David Walliams, who can get up on a stage in front of millions and make a complete prat of himself and not mind at all and above all enjoy it.

I reckon Simon would love to be that uninhibited.
