She was great in Thoroughly Modern Millie although it didn't do to well and was pulled early. I love her hairstyling though!

If you find yawning in someones face makes someone a nice human being I dont its nasty.

Amanda is my favourite judge. Also judges are there to compliment and criticise which she does.

I don't think it makes her the devil incarnate.

She's not that. More like Superwoman coming back from the dead and so soon after the traumatic birth of her daughter.

It was still a very bad example to set though. Think of the (and her) children!

No it doesn't. However, it does make me question whether she should be on the panel. As a judge, when she's in the studio, she should conduct herself in a professional manner. That means treating the performers she's judging with a bit of respect, even if she's bored out of her mind. It's not much to ask, especially given how much money she's getting paid to do the job.

i find her utterly poisonous and alesha as well.

As if one of the singers from Mis-teeq has any right to be judging the talent of others.

Why do people hate Amanda? She offers decent criticism. Sounds like we have a bunch of Voice watchers in the house.

She yawned in his face? Eh?

I hope David Walliams and Alesha Dixon are back next year. They were both great as judges and I think Alesha is more suited to this than Strictly as it's less "stuffy" (I think, I've never really watched it!)

She's absolutely vile.

I've gone right off her recently. She seems very cold and false.

I'm no fan of Alesha at all but she's still better suited to BGT than Amanda has ever been.

People dislike Amanda because she has a very nasty side.

I posted this as an example in another thread:

Quote:
“She was horrible towards The Deans of Magic from Series 2. She hated them because they looked and acted their magic in a sexy manner. It was more because there was a woman involved, when in exactly the same semi-final, she was practically drooling over Strike, the karate/kung fu act who went topless, showing their six packs. Talk about double standards. And also, on BGMT, they refused to stay on the stage after not being happy about the rude and nasty way the judges and the audience had treated them, to which Amanda gave the nasty comment, with an equally nasty look on her face, that it was the best disappearing act they had done.

She also didn't like Jamie Pugh, claming that he was fake for whatever reason. There were newspaper and magazine reports about this and on BGMT, when it was revealed to us and the judges who would be on the next semi-final show, she said something about him, (I can't remember what), that strongly hinted that the reports had indeed been true. And also, she was the only judge that pressed their buzzer for him.

And last year, moments after Jai McDowall had won, she told him that she had wanted Ronan Parke to win.”

I saw her in that and she was dire. Unless she was having a particularly bad night, she could neither sing nor act. It was only Maureen Lipman that saved us from walking out early.

I find Amanda to be totally talentless and why Simon thinks she is a good judge of other people's talent, God only knows.

I don't know about her and have really (suprisingly) taken to Alesha more because I didn't think Alesha deserved to be a judge on SCD. I think Amanda comes across as stuck up. She seems to be guaranteed a place by Simon so guess we'll just have to put up with her.In terms of constructive feedback, I thought that Amanda just reiterated what Alesha said. Amanda, for me, doesn't add anything to the programme at all.

Yes she was just charming, the way she was talking about previous dog acts and the owners having no personality, she made a point of saying it several times - just seemed bitchy and unnecessary. There have been plenty of examples of her being catty and rude over the years, to me she seems like somebody who is probably a really snotty cow behind the scenes. And if it wasnt for Les Dennis i dont think she'd be there at all....

Unless she's got something on Simon she can blackmail him with I think he's just happy she takes some of the judge hatred away from him as she makes unecessarily derogatory comments too.
He clearly doesn't give a crap what the other judges' opinions are as a few times he's quietly said something like, "Now the only view that matters." when it passes to him to give his opinion.

I was actually warming to her as she was at least willing to give some brutally honest opinions (like about Malaki's poor performance in the semi) but the totally unnecessary yawn to simply belittle someone was totally uncalled for & showed how little class & respect she has.

i cant stand amanda and i cant help but notice that this series she seems to have got on simons nerves - she often overspeaks him and grr the woman just sets my teeth on edge.

It's amusing you can say that about a programme that uses the device of sounding an enormous klaxon and a huge red cross illuminated in front of the act to show that they're rubbish/boring.

I think the acts know about that possibility I am sure they have all seen the show before what they dont expect is someone yawning in their face like a brat. There is no excuse for her behaviour imo. You might find what she did acceptable I dont.

According to this the same panel will be back next year. I cant believe how quickly this series has gone.
