I feel a standard rant coming on.......Best kept within the thread i think.
I know we pay lip service to the "kick racism out of football" campaign whereby whenever we can wave a flag we do, or maybe a photo opportunity here and there but when it comes to the crunch...... I thought we had seen the all time low when Liverpool FC ran out onto the field wearing T-shirts supporting a man accused of racism and launched a statement attacking the character of the man who dared to make the accusation in the first place. What message did it send out to racism victims? Don't report it because this is the treatment you will receive? On to today and its deemed inappropriate to take Terry and Rio because Terry faces a racism accusation and Rio is the potential victims brother. So what do we do? We drop the black man of course. We take the British Bulldog Lion-heart who has shat on everyone on a personal level at every opportunity. On what planet should Rio have been the one to be dropped? Its probably the same logic that saw him stripped of the captaincy for.......oh yeah, no reason at all. On a football level there is no way the country is disadvantaged by taking in-form Rio over out of form Terry. On a non-footballing level its not even a question. Im not English, i have no love for the England national team other than i love football and they are a football team but i really fail to see what sort of positive or even acceptable message this sends out to frankly anyone. Im glad i don't have a young Man Utd supporting son or relative who will ask me to explain why Rio wasn't picked for "non-football" reasons today. |

It is obvious that it was down to the court case so he picked Terry over Rio, but going on recent form how many times lately have we seen Terry left on his behind. Feel sorry for Rio but at least he will be well rested ready for the new season

Potentially ill-advised photo from Rio. Amusing though

I see Tevez is shouting his mouth off about SAF tonight. He said he thinks he's the President of England and that when he badmouths players and calls Tevez names that he doesn't have to apologise. |

Can someone please help me out and remind me, what does it feel like to sack your manager, and replace him?????
I really don't have a clue, and I am the only one out of my friends that doesn't know.

Tevez really is a sad little man, why does he feel the need to keep harping on about Alex Ferguson all the time, your life has moved on mate, jog on and shut up.
