Hi, can anyone confirm that if I use three's services, providing i dont download anything, its free!?
I spoke to customer services and the bloke didnt really know what i was talking about! What i want to know really is if i read 'text' news and footy scores and results (all just text) will I be charged? If so how much? Cheers......

Correct.

To browse text content within 3s walled garden currently costs nothing.

Thanks for that!
I had another look at the three web site, and under service prices it said that news/footy scores etc. are 5p each! I phoned three again and the bloke i spoke to said the same as you, no charge for browsing only downloading!!
Although a 'walled garden' there is a reasonable amount of stuff for browsing for free!!

While it's never enough for a lot of people, 3 have a TON of free stuff within their Walled Garden.

Not much use for us three users in our 'walled garden'!

I know, but there are also other 'sites' where you could get through the walled garden.

I have been on them and read up about a guy who posts on another forum somewhere and is working on a way to bypass this, and also to download 3g stuff from their walled garden for free, and to get full acsess. I say 'somewhere' because I have have spent many hours googling and looking at stuff.

It involves people who have paid and then posting the urls, or whatever they are. Something like that. It's too technical for me.

I know what I have seen. Just takes a bit of know how, which I do not have, but I have seen this.

Anyone else? Any experts out there who know what I'm talking about?

I'm going to try to find it again, may take a while, but if I find it I will post the link here, if thats allowed.

Meanwhile, there must be someone out there who knows what I'm talking about?

Please do not discuss ways to avoid paying for fee-based services - the legality of these actions are questionable.

Beth.
