Commercially, they definitely have a chance in the music industry, but will Simon sign both of them or only one group.

I'm not sure if the Loveable Rogues are Syco material really, they seem more organic, would he know what to do with them?

syco can do organic like with labyrinth, if they produced commercial hits then syco would be cool with that, but the trouble is most people cant produce their own smash hits

I think he could sign both of them, but we'll have to wait and see.

Not sure. All the pop music acts got very low percentages of the public vote in the final. Not a good sign.

He might sign both, but I don't think much will happen with The Mend. They aren't good enough, or different enough. He's already got One Direction, so not sure why he'd invest much time or energy into something similar.

Lovable Rogues could do well. They have their own image going on, and Simon managed to work with Labyrinth, letting him do his thing, so they could have a similar sort of contract. It depends how many (decent) songs they've got up their sleeves.

Simon has said on record that Syco can't hold too many acts at the same time so if he does sign these two then expect Leona's new album to be pushed back even further to 2015

It's probably going to be pushed back to 2015 regardless!

I think signing the Loveable Rogoues would make more sense as they already have material for an album and they write their own stuff.

Out of the two, I prefer The Lovable Rogues. They seem more unique and well, I just like them.

If syco doesn't sign them up, I wonder if they can now make it now anyway?. They have just had really great publicity

As for the mend, they are good but if they only do covers of other people's songs, then I don't think they are in the same league.

The Mend.....I thought they were doing really well till they were interepted by that chap talking fast.

The Rogues....Only the black chap can actually sing. The other two are hopeless, especially the chap with the facial hair.

I think you are getting mixed up with the bloke on the Voice I thought they did some nice harmonies and with their style of songs it isn't necessary to have top notch vocals

Exactly - they have a manager, not a record deal. Of course he can sign them if he wanted to (and they, including NMS, wanted to).

Managers and record contracts are two different things.

If Simon thinks 11-15-year-old teenage girls will go mad over them and he has the chance to, he might sign them. He won't care whether they've got talent or not, just as long as they make stacks of money. Look at One Direction for proof of this.

He's not bad at all, it's just the verse that he sings that it's quite fast and his voice isn't exposed that much but the other one who plays the banjo (?) I haven't heard him sing solo so far.

But on the whole, they already have a fan base so if they do get signed it's more than likely they'll do well commercially.

Well in regards to the Loveable Rogues, I think they have more than a teenage fanbase. And they're not a 'boyband'.

The Mend could do well with the right material.

I'm sure Simon said on one of the shows (must have been the semi) that there was a huge gap in the market for a group like The Mend. Don't quote me on that, but i'm sure he did because I remember thinking at the time that it was quite an odd thing to say

They're both terrible and have no distinctive qualities. They're both already forgotten about so no I can't see either being signed.

I hope so! The Mend's song last night wasn't my favourite but I think the lead singer has a brilliant voice. The Loveable Rogues just make me happy they've got quite a summery sound if that makes any sense.

He'd maybe got them signed already then
No doubt working on a few covers already

I actually preferred the loveable rogues, mainly because they were a bit different and wrote their own stuff But then i'm in my fifties so probably not the market that Simon is aiming for
Thank you

The Mend were awful last night only there to make up the numbers.

Or he could look at the voting figures and see that the British public think they were both C**P.

The Mend won't be successful but he should definitely sign The Loveable Rogues. Ryan and/or Sam might be worth a punt too.
