If Jay McDowell was in this years final.

I think he would have been lucky to have got as high as 8th place in this final.

What's he up to these days anyway? Not a lot by the looks of it.

As good as Jai was, I think you're right...

He wouldn't have won of course. I think Jai was used as an anti Ronan vote as he looked like the only one capable of beating him. But neither Jai nor Ronan would have beaten this year's top 3.

Certainly not in the top 3

I liked Jai. Seemed like a nice, genuine, humble soul.

I thought he won just because he's Scottish and probably had most of Scotland voting just for that fact.

I don't think that welsh choir would have made the top 3 if they were English, just because they wouldn't have had a majority of a countries votes directed at them.

I don't believe regional votes have that much influence, and this argument just gets more and more irritating.

Do you think Pudsey won because he had alll of the English vote then? Did no-one in Wales vote for him?

Never ceases to amaze me how, and why, people gloat over someone's apparent failure. It's not a very nice trait.

You're not on the 'people with unpleasant traits' list, Bex.

I agree but I don't think he has any actual star quality.

He has a lovely voice but nothing to make him stand out. He's nice though, and doesn't deserve to have people taking the mickey out of him.

I just found out Jean Martyn was in the final last year :O

Seriously shocking stuff

I agree with Rosie, I really liked Jai because he seems like such a nice guy, and I'd rather someone like him won than someone who's been invited straight out of stage school. Not meaning anyone in particular there, but you know the type. Plus I absolutely loved his audition song and for me, it tends to be the first audition that makes me get behind an act

Still would like to have seen Michael Moral win last year, and then get his kit off

And if the dumb dog act was in the final 2 years ago it would also have been lucky to finish in 8th . It just shows how poor some of the acts have been in the last 2 series.

I think that's a poor argument. Scotland has a very low population compared to the rest of the UK and I think it's strange to think they would vote for someone just because they were Scottish.

I honestly do think regional bloc voting does exist. How else do we explain the likes of Leon Jackson and Michelle McManus winning these programmes? Obviously there is a big sympathy vote factor, but I think regional voting is involved as well.

Who else should have won when Leon won? Rhydian was an acquired taste, Same Difference came third for Gods sake.

Same with Michelle McManus, she hardly beat a glittering array of stars.

I don't think that's true actually. Jonathan and Charlotte are hardly 9th place material. Ashleigh and Pudsey obviously wouldn't have won but they would have placed quite high.
