TOTP2 - new series starting 21 May

The BBC have finally realised what an easy ratings grabber this show is and it's on Monday to Friday at 6.30 on BBC 2 from the 21st May for two weeks, presumably as a trial to see if it's worth giving a regular slot. Hurrah!

Monday - Mark Radcliffe presents a selection of archive performances, including Wham, Supertramp, the Jacksons, ELO, Hot Chocolate, the Lightning Seeds with Baddiel & Skinner, a previously unshown appearance by Emeli Sande, as well as a new video by Gemma Ray.

Tuesday - Mark Radcliffe introduces more clips from the BBC archive, including tracks by Dexys Midnight Runners, the Shamen, Engelbert Humperdinck, Example, Oasis and Evelyn `Champagne' King, as well as a new song by bluegrass duo the Civil Wars.

Wednesday - Radio 2 DJ Mark Radcliffe continues his trawl through the archives, unearthing clips of Mott the Hoople, Terry Wogan, the Spice Girls, Blondie and the Smiths.

Thursday - Mark Radcliffe introduces a selection of performances from yesteryear, including performances by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Stevie Wonder, Spitting Image, Kylie Minogue, Gary Numan, Squeeze and Tina Turner.

Friday - Mark Radcliffe introduces a selection of musical treasures from the Top of the Pops archive, including performances by KC and the Sunshine Band, Everything But the Girl, the Jam, Robert Palmer, Neneh Cherry and Jilted John. Plus, a new video by Lisa Hannigan.

Great news. Hope Mark Radcliffe doesn't crash the vocals this time. We want to hear the music, not his unfunny comments

Let's hope they show some different tracks instead of the same old ones we have seen a million times before

I never thought I'd say this but I prefer Steve Wright presenting TOTP2 rather than Mark Radcliffe.

Maybe, but it's much better to watch on TV broadcast with a quality picture

It would be good if they did some themes as well rather than just some random clips sometimes.

Like songs from a particular year, British female artists, The 80's, Movie hits etc for e.g.

I heard Supertramp are on tonight. Will it be 'Dreamer' or 'Logical Song' or even 'It's Raining Again'? Love all of them.

Ah, ABBA, blondie before she got her gnashers fixed.

Happy days, a box of tissues and my sister's copy of Jackie with a feature on Aggie and Frida.

Revelling in my 41 years - remembering these the first time round...

And highly likely we'll see this (XTC) again in 2014...

As a Radio 6 Music listener it looks like I'm in the minority. I just wish he had Stuart Maconie with him for these intros .... ooh now it's XTC.
