what do u think of her new single ride it?the more i hear it, the more it grows on me and shes everywhere on tv promoting it!

i prefer emma bunton though she is so under rated with here quite mowtown sounding tracks/quite catchy pop,
also is mel c making a come back i liked here last few singles(very dance)was it nothern star and i turn to you.

but i hate mel b(scary spice)and posh(vicotoria beckham)

I'm not usually a fan of Geri's music, but I like Ride It! Video's a bit rubbish though, and that's putting it mildy!

I liked Emma Bunton's last couple of singles, she seems to have found a style and sound that suits her.

Never liked anything by Mel B, and the only thing that Victoria has sung on that I liked was the track with Tru Steppers.

It's rubbish, it sounds like a filler track off Kylie's Fever album and not worthy of being a single release. The lryics are just plain poor and her singing isn't getting any better either.

The video is sh*te and looks like it cost about £50 to make (ok, slight exaggeration there ). I think it shows the record company's confidence in her comeback when they can't spend a decent amount on a video.

I was curious about Emma Bunton, I noticed when Geri has been doing the promotion rounds, that the interviewers keep saying "shes the only spice girl still making records". I thought, hmmm, has Emma been dropped/retired/"retired"? Anyone know?

I like Geri's songs, they are usually so fun and poppy. Unfortunately the rest of her albums is usually pish. Her Greatest Hits if she ever gets one might be good.

Mel C is really good. Northern Star is a classic album even if you hate her. Her Greatest Hits will be brilliant too. Even if she has little success at the moment I still think that if she keeps going she will gain the respect she deserves and become popular.

Emmas album was ok, I think she should have released Something Beautiful instead of I'll be there and Crickets sing.


Victoria hasn't a hope in hell. She was no one's favourite spice girl.

I liked Tell Me by Mel B and there were a couple of good songs on her album but I dont think she'll ever return to music for fear of rejection - unless she's appeared on I'm a Celebrity.

i really liked emma's last album but i agree that "crickets" was a v poor single choice-there were much better songs on there

i hate geri's new song and considering she is supposed to have had singing lesson she still seems pretty pants imo

Geri Halliwell is definitely the worst spice girl, she is the world's biggest wannabee and her music is complete dross.

I know it's a little late, but I thought I'd just tell you, Geri Halliwell is the ONLY Spice Girl to have her original record deal, it is the same one she signed back in 1998, shortly after she left the group.

Mel B was chucked after her first album.
Victoria Beckham was chucked then begged for one last chance and blew it last December when she released Let Your Head Go/This Groove
Mel C was chucked after her second album flopped massively.
Emma left her original record deal and is now signed to 19 Records (Simon Fuller, who originally managed the Spice Girls)
Geri Halliwell is the ONLY one with her original contract, and is getting ready to release her 3RD solo album!

I absolutely LOVE Geri and think she has done so well, and even if you don't like her, she deserves respect for having achieved what she has!

I was a massive Spice Girls fan myself, they really were a phenomenon. People say "Oh they here an gone in less than four years" but what they achieved in that four years is something most British pop groups back then and now can only dream of achieving.

Solo wise I liked Geri's first three songs from her first album. I didn't buy the album though as I was mad at her for leaving the group lol I didn't however like any of the stuff she released from Scream If Ya Wanna Go Faster, the only track I remember is the single of the same name. I do like this song, Ride It. Its very catchy. You have to give credit where its due, she really made a career for herself outside of the Spice Girls.

Mel C's first album was brilliant. The Remix to I Turn To You was great aswell. Its a shame about her 2nd album bombing like that, although I did like Here It Comes Again.

Victoria was MY favourite Spice Girl, to whoever said she was nobodys favourite lol I liked Vic's track with the True Steppers. Her album was never gonna be a hit though, its obvious she just lacks the vocal talent to succeed, even compared to Geri.

Mel B I liked Tell Me and her first one with Missy Elliot. but thats about it really. Haven't heard much of her lately. Probably won't either lol

Emma Bunton should have a successful career. Her first album A Girl Like Me is really good I thought. I think though with Emma theres a tendancy to release the wrong songs. I always think when she released a song from that album, yeh its alright but theres a better track. I loved Maybe.

When they started out on their solo careers it was like a horse race, with Mel B flying off to a Number 1 start, however she soon fell back as Geri raced ahead with her first three singles going to Number 1, closely followed by Mel C who had two number 1s, with Victoria and Emma trailing. Emma caught up briefly, as Geri and Mel C were neck and neck, Mel B was the first casualty and was retired, Emma followed soon after but has since started recording again, whilst Victoria has since been put down lol

I always feel really sorry for Mel C in particular - Northern Star was a fantastic album - she really deserves some form of musical career. Emma's "A Girl Like Me" was alright as well. The rest of them... can't say I'd be sorry to see the back of them, although Geri's new song is annoyingly addictive.

emma b's underated with maybe and so on, mel c albumn made here deserve continuing success.

geri's songs are just feel good tracks which are catchy and grow on you.i like ride it, it might bit over produced but a fairly good pop track.

Yeh I feel sorry for Mel C moreso than the others because she is genuinely talented. Also I saw her live in concert in Dublin and she absoloutely rocked! An at the time it was just Northern Star she had out, she was fantastic live and is really deseving of a prolonged solo career.

I'd say expect a reunion in some shape or form within the next 12 months, because Geris single wasn't very good, although it did pretty well, it still won't have made much money, with single sales being so low.

An artist generally releases their best stuff first, so I'd expect the second single to be worse and not to make the top 5, and if the album bombs, which I suspect it might, here comes the reunion, because the rest of the Spice Girls aren't doing much these days. The signs are there, with the story of Posh and Geri apparently making up.

Cue one or two new singles and a greatest hits album.

Also, that tabloid story about Posh making up with Geri is aload of bullsh*t! They have been in contact with each other since Geri left the group back in 1998. They often call each other, and have done since 1998...

As for the story, I don't know, I didn't read the details, I just heard about it (in fact I can't remember how did hear about it now, perhaps a TOTP news story?). If it said they've never spoken since the breakup, then that would be BS, because I seem to remember them all having some meal together a couple of years ago or something.

Geri won't go back to the group. She won't need to. She will do well on her own forever, she has done fine since 1998, and I can't see it changing. Apart from Victoria, Geri is the most successful, but obviously Victoria has only been successful, because of David, so I don't count it anyway...

i was reading that emma bunton is loaded still,as she saved all here spice girls day money, worth £20 milion, posh made the most,spent a load.and geri kept making money. and scary spice lost a lot and mel c did average.

i think it was 19 managment who offered a reform offer of £20 milion each

Melanie B owned her company 'MoneySpider Production' over £47K last year, she has paid it all back though, so I understand.

There is also talk that the Spice Girls as a foursome, Mel C, Victoria, Emma and Mel B, have a 4million Recording contract with Virgin Records that was never honoured. Well they recorded Spice Girls Forever and then released Holler/Let Love Lead The Way, but when the album bombed and they disbanded I would imagine a lot of dosh lost on Virgins part. Small change to Emma, Vicoria an Mel C, but imagine that would be a pretty big dent for Mel B. Not sure how true that story was. The jist of the story was that Virgin would waive the debt if the girls reunited and recorded some new material, even one or two tracks for a Greatest Hits package.

Its still a big topic and something each of the girls is asked now and again. Mel C seems to most dead against it. Geri always says "Never say never" Victoria and Emma would consider it and Mel B I'd say would be the first one to jump on a Spice Girls Reunion. Apparently and again this is tabloid rumour, they were close to a reunion deal but Mel C threw a spanner in the works when she said she'd do the recordings, go on telly and do interviews an promotion, but was not prepared to perform on stage with the other girls again. Sounds a bit strange.

In any case, a Spice Girls Reunion may still happen, but it shouldnt' happen without Geri. As we approach 2006, I expect we'll hear more on it, as it will be ten years since Spice Girls came out.
