I take it you disapprove of any dog sport such as agility or obedience or Freestyle then? It builds such a bond between dog and handler, keeps the dog fit and healthy as they can't *all* be out rounding up sheep! As you must know, dogs need exercise - mind and body exercise to be happy and healthy. To just disrespect anyone's skill in training a happy dog that shows no sign of stress while perfoming seems mighty sad. Surely if more people engaged with their dogs and spent time training them, less would end up dumped in rescue to either be killed or rehomed?”
No don't dispprove of anything that gives dogs a focus but I don't like seeing a dog exposed to those sort of stresses, and I saw a stressed dog as did many behaviourists. Lights, noise, heat, handlers nerves etc.
I don't remember disrespecting anyones ability? Off now anyway to walk my poor bored dogs who must live such an awful life being allowed to sleep, roam and not dance.
