DTI6021 records same episode from multiple channels?

Model DTI6021
Software 7.09

Hi Guys,

Her in doors likes to record Neighbours but just recently the box has starting recording every episode of Neighbours from all available channels. I get about 5 of? the same episode each day. The box is only set to record the afternoon showing on channel 5 but also records the evening repeat. It also records from 5+ and 5*. This only seems to affect this one series which is really weird.

This is doing my head in as it not only fills my box with this rubbish but it also means I can't always record other programmes and if I am recording one other programme, I can't watch anything another than Neighbours

I have deleted and then re-added it to the planner to no avail.

Anyone else get this issue? Any ideas?

And I thought it was only the 3View box that did this !!
Could be something to do with "series link" ??
Regards

Yes I think you are correct but it just seems to affect programmes on Channel 5. It just did Gadget Show on both 5 and 5+1 and I had only selected it on 5

Thanks for that info. However I didn't seem to suffer from this issue until a few weeks ago. Maybe the box auto updated it's firmware and this has changed something or maybe C5 have just buggered up all it's series links.

Does anyone else suffer from this and if so, have you always had the problem or did it just start doing it a few weeks ago?

It is a Channel 5 issue with the Freeview+ guide. It doesn't only happen on the DTI6021. I have both DTI6300 & a Wharfedale (Vestel) recorder which do the same. I am pretty sure it will be happening on all FV+ recorders.

Also doing something similar on Humax, trying to record all occurrences but failing and instead getting random programs on 5, 5+1 and 5* but listed as Neighbours. Also happening with Home and Away. Only started this week.

If it's possible on your box, I recommend setting by timer instead of series to record at same time every week day. This works fine as long as programme isn't moved for any reason, then you will miss it!

So perhaps switching from Freeview+ to the "vanilla" Freeview option - which I think the original poster's box allows you to do - might sort it. You'll still have Series Link available (though not across different channels, I think). There won't be any automatic adjustment for programmes starting late, though, so you'll probably want to set a "guard time". (The other different is that with FV+ you get an 8 day EPG, whereas with vanilla FV you get 14 days.)
