I have a strong feeling this is going to be huge for her.

I think a definite #1 single and albumn.

I would love to see her release a hip-hop single and also a Dub-Step single.

Let her at least get off the 'dance' (cough) bandwagon first. She's probably heard grunge is the next big thing so is planning for that. Anything to keep her talentless fizog in the public eye.

It's a tired effort in a much too used style.

It's very lacklustre but I'm sure it will be number one on her brand name alone.

I think the song is quite weak tbh but it will probably get no1.
Are you being serious about wanting her to do hip-hop? i dont see Cheryl rapping anytime soon tbh

It's very weak. If you look past all the preening and 'look at me' in the video, it's a very weak song.

I remember hearing Fight for your Love for the first time and thinking how catchy it was.

It's awful and sounds way too common. Wouldn't even know it was her if it wasn't said after/before the song.

I personally think it's one of the most instantly likeable singles she has released, i absolutely love it. Her best single so far, love the video too.

I really like it. I mean its not amazing, but its a good catchy pop song.

I think I would enjoy it more if a good singer actually sung it though. Her voice kinda ruins it for me.

The only thing I really really genuinely appreciate is the production. Cheryl's vocals sound like a dying wailing cat in the parts she actually sings in the song.

It sounds to me like a step back for Chezza, maybe to the 80's, it's an awful record & the video is dire.
It sounds & looks to me like something Billie Piper would've released years ago accompanied with an awful dancing video.

it was more instant for me compared to some of her singles and even `promise this`. i hope she achieves her 3rd solo #1.

I am no fan of "cheryl" but surely she could have done something better with her name ... caught the video on music channel saying -- cheryl "call my name" I wondered what "cheryl" they speak of until I knew it was her ... song my opinion maybe a grower with me but for god sake do something with your name ... you aint "madonna" nor "britney" or "christina" yet to get "cheryl" .... maybe next album out she will change it to chezza next or will it be biffa i wonder

It does make me laugh when people moan about the dropping of Cole - "she isn't Madonna"', "she isn't Rihanna", "she isn't *every mononymous person under the sun*" as if they got to drop their surnames after they reached a certain record sale milestone. No Madonna was still just Madonna when she was a nobody sending Everybody to radio. Same with Rihanna, Dido, Mika, Duffy, Adele, Shakira, Robyn, Aaliyah, Kesha, Björk, Sinita and the list goes on. Being mononymous isn't some decree of greatness, it's marketing.

Cheryl will never be truly mononymous anyway, it's too late in her career and she's just too famous as Cheryl Cole (in the UK). Like Kylie Minogue for example, she's been releasing music as just Kylie for over a decade but she's still Kylie Minogue.

I disagree. I think she'll be huge at some stage and she'll get bigger in the US should her management go ahead with pushing her out there. The new single will likely be the start of it.

Call My Name is a great song. I do agree that Calvin Harris adds a lot to the song but it still is a sure hit from Cheryl.

I do realise a lot of her chart success could be down to her backstory but I think her music is good and I think this albumn could do very well and hopefully lauch her US career.

I'm sure Simon Cowell will give her a slot on US X Factor.

I agree. I didn't think much of it at first but I heard it at a club and it's a really good record.

My only concern with the whole 'Cheryl' thing is that when she returns to Girls Aloud - will she remain as 'Cheryl' whilst the others all have surnames, or will she re-adopt Cole again? Or even Tweedy?

It'll just be Cheryl. They aren't really known by their surnames anyway.
