Didn't she say she would never lipsync? I don't believe for a minute she is singing live in this video. I find it also an utterly boring performance. No real singing and dancing. Just lying on a motorcicle doing nothing.

Also she dances hardcore for nearly every performance, u wouldn't go to a gaga concert just to see her sing and dance, u want innovation, there it is

The studio recording of Heavy Metal Lover has that autotuned effect but if you have ears, which I'm sure you do, you can quite clearly hear her voice is underneath the effect. And no she isn't dancing (for that song) but there are dancers and she's on the motorcycle, referencing BTW album cover. Unlike others, she doesn't have to do some massive dance routine for every song to take attention away from the fact that she can't sing.

And the comments on that video are proof of people doing exactly what people accuse Gaga's fans of doing. Pathetic.

All popstars using dance routines sing with a back up track playing for added vocal. Its no different here with Gaga. This is nothing new at all and everyone does it. Even the likes of Coldplay have admitted they use the back up tracks for certain songs in their concerts... Infact you would be hard pushed to find any 'popstar', lets exclude the rock and indie acts, who haven't used back up tracks in their tours.

There is actually a dance routine at the end of the song (you can see it at the end of the video)

Gaga lipsyncs... wow... whats new in that, not like people dont already know. Anyone who saw her live concert on sky1hd would have seen that she does this on many songs. But to balance it up she also does sing live on many songs its not all miming.

What are you on? She sometimes has very heavy backing tracks but its clear in that concert that she didn't lipsync, goodness, I can't see how someone can make that accusation. Plus on recordings it always sound worse but she honestly didn't lipsync.

The backing track was a little loud but you can hear her singing with it, I don't think Gaga's ever done a fill on lipsynced performance at least not that I know of.

It's a backing track and she is singing a little bit. I think that's her ''rest'' performance.

It's illogical to assume that Gaga would bother to lipsync some parts of some songs, whilst the rest is fully live. Particularly if she performs all the vocally demanding songs, and it's the songs with heavy vocal effects that she suddenly can't manage.

It makes way more sense to conclude that sometimes the backing track is too loud (by request or accident) and her voice can't be heard at certain points because of it, or she just doesn't sing a few words to catch her breath/do a dance/whatever. From my experience, she doesn't even move her mouth to pretend she's singing if she isn't.

Plus, why would she even risk lip-syncing to some parts of some songs if people are just going to turn around and call her a hypocrite? Why bother?

And yes, HML is her rest song.

Does anyone else think that this tour began very low key? I only realised 3 days ago that it had started (albeit on the other side of the world).

The videos I've seen don't suggest to me that it's a show I'd like to see. The lighting seems really dark, the gigantic set means that Gaga gets a little lost in the chaos, and the routines and vocals don't seem too special. I'll admit, I've only watch 4 or 5 different songs being performed, but it just didn't do it for me!

And the "heavy backing track" thing, that's essentially lipsynching. Britney uses Heavy Backing track a lot and she get slated by people. Heavy Backing Track = 80% miming basically.

I'm going to wait until September to judge, but her performances in Tokyo weren't very good anyway. Telephone looked a bit half-assed, and her vocals weren't on point.

Seoul was much stronger vocally, so I think she might have just had an 'off' show...

Nope not miming - just a heavy backing track and a dull, lifeless voice. Surely with such dross vocals/the song in general more effort could have been made into the actual performance?

You can call it what you want, on the concert on sky she was not singing live on various songs, so she is not singing live.. end of discusion.

She doesn't lipsync. The only time when she uses backing tracks is when there's a very layered or electronic voice on the actual song, otherwise it'd sound very thin-on-vocals because the songs are so heavy. The only alternative would be to have several hundred android backing singers.

In some performances, she fluffs the vocals, does runs & changes lyrics so much I don't know why people would bother saying it's mimed lmao.

Have you heard the song? It's physically impossible to sing it live. That's why there's so much backing.

Taylor swift mimes everything she's ever done.

In many people's opinions, but its not the end of he world, all chart pop stars that do what she does on stage cant sing live to everysong, its the nature of the beast. But artists that pretend they dont but really do are the ones people have issues with.
