Initially when watching the fabulous 2006 summer series of BB7, I wasn't really a Susie fan. I didn't dislike her either though, I just found her irrelevant and boring.

Having subsequently watched BB7 again over the years, I have come to really like Susie, she was a remarkably calm, poised, elegant and bafflingly un-crushable. The way she handled the foul Grace and her water throwing was magnificent, it was true what she said, there was only one person that looked silly and that was Grace.

What was your opinion of this bizarrely memorable housemate?

I really liked Susie. I would have slapped Grace if she did that to me, how Susie managed to stay so calm and collected was astonishing.

And we partly have her to thank for getting rid of Grace.

Made a mockery of the Golden Ticket.

She did expose Richard as a complete arselicker but the voters didn't care.

I haven't re-watched it. I recall her being pleasant enough. She was involved in one of my fave moments of BB..when Grace got her comeuppance when she heard the 'Get Grace Out!' - I think it was when the Gold Ticket thing was going on. Blimey that girl was just nasty - for absolutely no reason at all. Never understood that creature, what was all the vileness and bitchiness about. Truly stumped me.

I found her likeable in some ways, and rather uninteresting in others, however there was never a reason for me to dislike her. I did find her a bit bossy and clinical at times though.
I suppose I may have been especially annoyed at her if her being up for eviction against Aisleyne had led to Aisleyne being evicted, but fortunately that was never put to the test and instead it gave Aisleyne a break from the main house in the HND.

I thought she handled Grace and co. and also the State of Susie very well, never rubbing her new sense of power in the housemates faces. Grace may have thought the whole task was against her, but to be honest, Grace could have used her charm and eloquence to possibly win Susie over. Problem is, she never tried and instead resorted to rather childish behaviour to get back at Susie.

I liked Susie most though when she was 'Best Friends' with Imogen. I always like it when two housemates manage to put previous dislike of eachother to the side and actually find they like eachother. Think Aisleyne/Susie/Imogen could have made a nice little clique.

Probably it's ferocious self loathing. Truly one of the most vile human beings I've ever seen on TV.

I remember Susie being quite pleasant, a bit dull and drinking Earl Grey tea a lot. She kept calm under pressure though and retained her dignity.

Davina was really horrible to her during her eviction interview as poor Susie had expressed an ambition to be a TV presenter. How dare she ! Davina seemed to take exception to the fact that she had bought her way on to the programme and hoped to launch a career.

Obviously Susie's TV career did not take off but half the women going on BB want to be in the spotlight and Susie was treated really badly compared to some of the others.

Susie was too dull for that series.
BB7 was frantically paced ( for the first 10 weeks at least ) and susie gets remembered for having water thrown over her and always drinking tea.
I think she was a let down as a golden ticket winner when you think of the potential that twist had but she was harmless enough..another dull but nice HM.

One of the more (or few) likeable HMs that year. Aside from Watergate and the week leading up to it she was never at the centre of the action, but she did have her subtle moments of humour that made me laugh, and I found them to be more amusing than Nikkis tantrums, or Glyn acting like a gloit.

I liked her calmness under pressure and Aisleyne, who was often a bag of nerves underneath her tough girl exterior said that she found Susie's very presence a calming influence on her. As Ash was my favourite HM that year (and pretty much any year) that alone would have made me like Susie

Apart from that though, I would admit that she didn't really give much of herself to the whole experience and was not the most exciting or interesting of HMs.

To be fair she was very young at the time and even she was shocked by some of her own footage.She was more of a bitchy schoolgirl type rather than evil incarnate!

I thought that she came across as dull, and a bit dim and desperate.

She was pretty much a waste of time as a housemate, she didn't bring anything apart from looks.

The best thing about her going in the house was that it put the odious Leah's nose out of joint, so to speak.

I did find her ( Susie ) physically attractive, but I didn't like her personality at all.

Why she went in the house in the first palace baffles me?
I saw her in a later episode of a show where she was hunting for for a million pound plus house abroad. She was OK on the BB show and handled herself well but a bit boring to watch.

I did a google images search to make sure which housemate you were referring to (so she obviously wasn't that memorable to me lol) and saw a couple of things I wasn't expecting Boss eyed things too

Those aside I thought she was very graceful in the face of Grace's gracelessness.

I wasn't a massive fan of her - but I think her best moment was when during the Big Brother on holiday task and the automated BB kept her in the Diary Room for about an hour when she was trying to nominate

Like so many others i found her nice,but deadly dull at the time.
However,like you and quite a few others as well, when you look back you see she was way better and way more important than one remembers her being at the time of BB7.
I liked the fact that she was a fish out of water but coped remarkably well, and the day BB kept her in the dr for ages
and ages was very funny.She was getting so pissed off she ALMOST swore

She also did more than her fair share of work around the house and made sure everyone had a cup of tea in bed in the morning, so in no way could she be classed as a waste of space.

btw. Looking back at the very early stages of BB7 recently another hm was a big surprise to me, and that was George.
Again,at the time i found him dull but looking back now i found genuinely nice and surprisingly interesting in a quiet sort of way.
He was an observer of people [he said as much in the dr] and watching him watching the others made for some interesting moments.
In a group convo about the Royal Family, Glyn asked who Prince Charles was and the look on Georges face said it all.
On the opening night he was sitting down and when Shahbaz burst through the door and went straight up to Pete and started going bonkers, the camera panned back to George and you can see him actually blinking as though her couldn;t believe what he was seeing....A penny for his thoughts

I seemed to remember him looking lonely, but early on he was far from that and it looked like he was well liked within the house.
When you have a house with so many big characters,it's very easy and understandable for the likes of George to be completely overlooked.

When you have a house like BB7 it's crucial to have a few normal, sensible and laidback hm's in there.

I'd never want to see a house full of only loud, colourful,or controversial characters.

Steady ON. She was a bit juvenile and bitchy but I really don't think she was a 'vile human being'. She just had a bit of growing up to do. I quite admired her in the run up to leaving the house - it must have been quite an ordeal back in those days knowing for certain you are going to leave to a howling mob. I didn't admire her throwing water over Susie obviously, but I think the legal defence of 'while temporarily not in her right mind' might be brought into play. She was just about to face a couple of hundred people who were almost bursting a lung with the effort to boo more loudly. Few of us will ever face that situation.

As for Susie, she was the sort of person who would be a gift as a neighbour, a colleague, running a B & B, that kind of thing. She just wasn't a very good housemate. The words 'this is totally beneath me' seemed to be hovering in a kind of subtitle every time she said or did anything.

Susie was not laidback.She was a bit of a stress head, for example her disgust when Glyn had a bit too much to drink. Nor was she sensible, she paid thousands of pounds for a slim chance of entering the house - she was as fame hungry and desperate as anyone.

She was definitely the weak leak that year.

As far as laidback ,why do you need laidback housemates?
Laura BB8 was laid back,are you saying she was needed?

Michelle and Stu were normal but they were far from dull housemates.
Dan and Shell were intelligent but they were far from dull.

I certainly didnt argue that the loud,colourful,and controversial HMs were all that should be in the house..I certainly do not think you need dull housemates in ANY series,why on earth would you need them if they are so dull?

With Susie,as a golden ticket winner she was a massive dissapointment,she was dull..it had nothing to do with her being intelligent or sensible,it was because she was so laid back you wouldnt know she was there,she blended in like wallpaper.

She did play a part in one of the highlights of that series though, when the automated Big Brother locked her in the DR during nominations. I have never laughed so much in my life. It was the first time we saw Susie getting a bit frazzled.

I thought she was pleasant. Not a particularly entertaining housemate but I do think you need one or two people like her in there. BB7 was quite a mad series and she was memorable precisely because she wasn't like the rest of them. I thought Davina was unnecessarily harsh during her exit interview, particularly since she never really took Grace to task on her behaviour and instead complimented her shoes.
