To be honest there is very little to nothing that would be worthy of the title this year in the best-sellers list as this has been the worst year for #1's ever...

There may have been a load of garbage this year, but theres also been a hell of a lot of abolsutely fantastic music released this year. Unfortunately most of it hasn't got anywhere near the publicity it deserves.

Which Usher song is it? Oh yeah was pretty average, but confessions pt 2 was a fantastic song. Eminem's song may be a contender for video of the year, but song? hell no.
None of the rest inspires me in any way. |

How do they choose the 30 shortlisted songs in the first place? Is it sales, weeks on the chart, highest positions etc? However they do it, I'd put money on ITV crowbarring Rachel Stevens and Westlife into the list somehow.

I predict the "winner" will be someone who ITV will be able to get on to the show.
Thus I can't see Britney or Eric Prydz winning. |

In defence of mcfly. the songs are not bad, imo, and they always sing live and play their own instrument and write all their own songs.

Whoever it is will probably mime!
In the last two years they had Gareth Gates miming Unchained Melody and Westlife miming Mandy. In 2002 the only ones who didn't mime were Ronan, Will and Darius! |

I notice that Keane, Franz Ferdinand or Snow Patrol are not on that list. Shame - at least they write their own music, not have it put in front of them. |

I was really annoyed when Westlife won last year with "Mandy", a song that I didn't think was great, and was yet again another copy, which is all Westlife seem to do!

Its not really 2004 either if those are the chosen artists. The first two were late 2003 releases.
Its mostly number ones but the number twos they have chosen are the worst possible, especially with number ones left out. |

I'd hope Anastacia would be on the list, Left Ouside Alone was a really high seller I seem to recall.
Also: Michelle McManus LMCvU2 If I had to make a guess at the winner I would predict McFly with Obviously. |

Well ITV is "CHAV TV" so Maroon 5, Keane and the like won't be on there at all
Eric Prydz, Rachel Stevens and DJ Casper have very limited talent between the three of them and should not be allowed to record at all.... Eamon sounds as if he has been castrated which will get the chav vote by a country mile...the same with 3 of a Kind, and any other urban act... Girls Aloud have a racist in their ranks (argue with me but Cheryl Tweedy is a racist and is a closet BNP member) and have released some really banal material... McFly and Busted are rock for 10 yr olds..which leaves only Anastacia as credible (which she is), but whats the betting she doesnt get a mention? |
