Viewers do have to realise that if you don't get into the chart top two your out of this competition. Keane and Maroon 5 only achieved number 3 at best.

Remember it's record of the year and not talent of the year.

They are both rubbish and so is the person who sings them.

Why is it all about singles? No one is interested in singles anymore. How about album of the year?

Why is it all about singles? No one is interested in singles anymore. Why dont they do a show with everyone who has had a top 3 album of the year? After all those are the people who will still be around next year....

Katie Melua, if she is in, is in based on a number 10 hit in December of 2003 which is within the last twelve months.

Listen to Steve Winwood - Valerie, then listen to Eric Prydz - Call On Me. He's taken the chorus from Valerie and repeated it endlessly. I'm surprised he gets away with calling it his song.

I was disappointed when I found out Steve Winwood had rerecorded the chorus for Call On Me.

Will this years contest be legit? Last years was obviously rigged... no way did Mandy get more votes than Where is the Love.

Will Young - Leave Right Now should be there. It was released late November last year. He should have rightly won in 2002 but was beaten by the miming Gareth Gates! Only Will, Ronan and Darius sang live in the final.

Am I repeating myself?

...all fantastic albums this year, plus Sissor Sisters, The Streets and the Zutons.

Britney - Toxic, that was a good song.
Eamon dragged on and on, he could do it.
Brian McFadden will probably get based on who will be voting, the kind of people who watch ITV on a Saturday - old people.
Natasha Bedingfield has had a good year.

Nice to see that Keane were included after all!

Of all the groups 'A' seems to be the hardest to progress from.

We can count out Britney Spears, Green Day or D-12 winning, seeing as ITV probably couldn't afford them. They can't even afford to host Junior Eurovision.

Strange how they went for "5 Colours In Her Hair" over "Obviously".

U2 are in there as well - all together now: "Feee-eeee-eeeeelll!"

The only songs any good in that list are Britney's, Katie Melua's, Girls Aloud's and U2's. And I'm not saying those songs are great. The rest are complete tripe!

I'm sure rubbish like Mcfly/Busted will win it but I'd like either Maroon 5, Keane or Britney to win (because it's her best song by miles).

I reckon its going to be Eric Prydz. Maroon 5 or Keane deserve it.

I would like eaither Keane Natasia Bedingfield or Shapeshifters to win. I'm glad Westlife aren't in it this year, how they won it last year with that "Mandy" cover, I don't know (probably because of all the fans). No doubt Mc Fly or Busted will win because of all the teenie boppers phoning in and voting!

Why isn't "ozone" nominated?

You left out the words "in my opinion".

In my opinion Britney's, Katie Melua's, Girls Aloud's and U2's are tripe!

Each to his own!

Will should win it - easily!

It's not about being able to afford it...

It's only viable to host it if you are going to make a profit. After watching some of it last night it looks like the made a sound decision...

I'd say even ITV2 took a dip in viewers to show that pile of poop.

I would like everyone to vote for Keane. They are easily the best talent this year.

That was quite a hard decision to include 2 favourite from that piss poor line-up of songs.

I tell you something... If this is a represention of music from 2004, I bet it's not just cd singles that are declining, downloads will be declining too.
