This is maybe a long shot, but I want to try it and have a specific question, but first I'll explain what I'm talking about.....

http://rockinwellness.com/

It is a shake full of all kinds of natural 'super food' ingredients that apparently make you feel great. If you're trying to lose weight, it will help with that, if you are a bodybuilder it'll help with that, if you are stressed it'll help with that and so on and son. Basically, it helps you become an enhanced version of yourself.

I first heard about it last week in a tweet by Matt Willis(ex-busted, I'm a Celeb etc) and then did some research. It sounds like the real deal and I really want to try it. Problem is, it has to be shipped from the USA and this leads me onto my question....

I asked the company how I could order it and they pointed me to a site(Borderlinx) where I register and they give me a US shipping address. The problem is, I want to know exactly how much I will have to pay for shipping/tax etc BEFORE I order it and I E-Mailed Borderlinx to ask them this, and they fobbed me off saying there was 'no way to know'. I would have thought they could look at previous sales records when other customers have bought the same product and same amount, but I guess not.....

So has anyone tried this, and how much is the shipping/tax from the US to here for 2 bags?

Not that I can help specifically but I know from ordering stuff from the US before they can't really give a definite answer.

When I was ordering stuff the shipping depending on weight of the total order sometimes what I ordered as well. I had tax to deal with as I was ordering from Florida so that was added on but again that can vary.

Also with fluctuating exchange rates I guess its difficult to give an exact amount and there is always the chance of you getting hit with custom charges this end too as I did on one occasion with one of my orders.

However I would have thought they could have given a rough estimate as to shipping charges as I would have thought they would have a set charge for shipping to the UK although its possible they haven't sent anything here so they haven't got anything in place for it yet. Another company I used to buy a lot from had a set shipping charge regardless of how much or how little you ordered but it will vary from company to company.

I don't understand what you mean by borderlinx give you a US shipping address do you mean a contact for the company or an address for you to get the stuff sent to?

Here is the link - http://www.borderlinx.com/

I'm not completely sure how it works, to be honest. I just know when ordering something that is in the US, I give the US postal address they(Border Linx) provide me with.

Yeah, it's disappointing they couldn't even give me a rough idea. I suppose I'll just have to take the plunge.

Thanks for your reply

I've never gone through a third party delivery site like that when I have bought anything from the US I've been lucky enough that the sites I have used have all shipped to the UK it looks like the site you want to order from doesn't ship here which is where the problem is.

The Borderlinx site seems ok I think the problem with not giving you a price is they base their shipping costs on volume so you can order a few things and then get them all delivered in one batch. The problem seems to be until they get your goods they don't know how much to charge you for onward shipping.

Only thing I would watch is you don't get stung for double shipping or extra tax or customs. I know with the products you are looking at its free US shipping but just be careful of that.

Just checked borderlinx and, being a natural sceptic, if you utilise the service, you are paying for goods which are then being delivered to an address given to you by borderlinx and does it even exist? Borderlinx could, technically, relieve you of the goods and you will end up with nothing. I am not suggesting this is not a cocher business, but we always need to be vigilant. Caution aside, when you use the calculator, for an item of jewellery costing $60, and weighing just 1lb, shipping costs over £36, which is not cheap compared to what companies/people who do ship from the US to the UK charge. I certainly wouldn't use this company; seems a bit iffy to me.

What terrible customer service. You've appeared on a thread a year too late.
We launched last week on the same day as this post.
