Twitter seemed to be quite active recently regarding it's return.... they just need to advertise on ITV, that's it I reckon.
They had billboards and advertisements on buses for the last series. They should do that again.

They had it for CBB8 though I think. Biggest Brother Ever. Sadly none for BB12. Unless your talking about CBB9. Yes, they did. Which is why I hoped they did it this year. Weird they didn't.

the competition looks quite weak to me on launch night

i think it needs to be around 2.5 million
i don't know what endemol have or don't have up their sleeve
but if it's near to 2 million then i reckon the show will struggle in the coming weeks

The competition IS weak. The only danger is Silk who was at 4.8m last week (down half a million on the week before though). But it's not exactly the same audience as BB.

my memory isn't great for these things
but the competition on opening night has to be as weak as channel 5 could have hoped for

They're not allowed say when it's on, just 'coming soon', hence why people are probably asking lol.

True. But I'm sure they will find out when they notice the group getting busy during the day of launch. Also, I think they have banned around 50,000 people from the group, that's why we see limited LF talk on there.

Well at least they are launching on the best day, every other day, both BBC1 and ITV pull in over 4.5m. But Tuesday, ITV is known to flop at anything they air. So that increases Ch5 chances,

I'm gonna go in low and predict 2.1m for the launch with a series average of 1.3m.

I wouldn't be surprised at a sub 2m rating for the launch though. Just down to how much less promotion it has had than the last C5 series and lack of support from newspapers.

Lack of support from newspapers also applies to every other C5 launch and the last few launches on C4 too.

2.85m average and a peak of 3.4m

The Daily Star will of course be reporting the '4m' reach figure.

Newspapers like The Sun have printed a few house pictures for the last few series, and printed stories about possible celebs going in. Obviously it was never as much coverage as the bigger series but they still had an article here and there. This year there's been close to nothing at all.

I'll go for 2.6m - about the same as last time.

Yeah but it was still nothing major. The days of Big Brother dominating the front pages were over long before it moved to C5. The Sun et al still show some interest in the Celebrity version but they're largely apathetic now towards the main series - and I think the move to C5 was reason enough for them to pretty much stop writing about it.

Doubtful. They haven't done this on previous launch days and an ad saying coming soon would look weird on the day the show is going to air. And I believe ITV1 at least will be commercial free for most of the day tomorrow for the jubilee stuff.

Must say the Daily Star are doing an awful job of selling this year's show and if their descriptions of this year's cast are anything to go by tomorrow night could be a stinker. Might have to revise down my prediction at this rate.

Exactly, which is why I wouldn't be surprised at a sub 2m rating for the launch. I hope not, but I can see it happening.
