Like if you go on holiday or just out and you want to check your landline answer machine, how do you do that?

you mean the one built into the phone? what model Bt phone is it?

I got the Bt synergy 4500 and it says on page 53 of my manual about using remote access

Its: BT Graphite 2500 range

Unless i've lost some instructions? Mines only a massive 2 sided paper one, mostly on set-up of the phone.
