X Factor 2012 Judges: The candidates
Well with Gary and Louis certainly back and Tulisa pretty much confirmed, it seems that there is 1 seat to fill, here are who i think are the potential seat fillers:
Katy Perry Lily Allen Marina (from Marina and the Diamonds) Alesha Dixon Dannii Minogue Nicole Sherzinger What do you guys think?

you might as well have took lily allen out as im pretty sure she has said that she would never do it. marina wont as barely anyone knows her enough. doubt nicole will because simon will want someone new, doubt alesha will do it either because she is on bgt... so i suppose its a dannii and katy thing... would prefer katy but 100% doubt it will be her.

Katy Perry I don't think she can commit because she's still in the first wave of a very successful recording career.
Lily Allen She was suggested last year and she didn't exactly say no. Only that she hadn't even heard about it and everyone else had. She has criticised Simon Cowell in the past and the show. However years ago Cheryl had criticised Nichol Scherzinger (it's still on YouTube) and that didn't stop her signing up to the US X Factor along with Scherzinger, so anything is possible. Marina (from Marina and the Diamonds) Pass. Alesha Dixon Very good feedback from her BGT role. I think it would be tempting but they should be wary of overegging the pudding. This time last year she still hadn't filmed her last series of Strictly. Since then she's done one season of BGT and now (?) The X Factor? Dannii Minogue Very likely. Lois, Tulisa and Gary have all mentioned her name in the press or on Twitter. Biggest clue: Gary retweeting 'Bring back Dannii". Nicole Sherzinger Doubt she'd do it. I didn't even think she was a candidate. |

To be honest i just want them to make the announcement the waiting is killing me!! But i am guessing they are waiting for the whole Britney & Demi scene to die down and then make the announcement i can see it being around monday or tuesday! I'm guessing now if we do see either Dannii or Katy at heathrow or something within the next couple of days then we deffo know thats judge number 4.

Katy Perry would be huge but what Simon and ITV could pay her would be peanuts compared to what she can earn doing something else.
Nicole is a USXF reject. Does Simon want to give the fourth chair to an American reject...not likely. Lily Allen or Marina...I don't know. Would either one of them give him a lot of free tabloid publicity? Alesha is a great addition to BGT but too much of anything gets a little boring after awhile. Still think that Danni is the most logical choice. The rest of the panel would like her back. She is very popular, would get tons of press coverage and ITV can afford her salary. |

My thoughts:
Katy Perry: I'd be really surprised if she took it up to be honest. She's at the peak of her career, and has no real need for the show. I think as good as she was as a guest judge, she doesn't have the time to commit to 3days per week at least in the UK at this stage in her life. Alesha Dixon: Very much a 'last resort' option, despite how good she was apparently on BGT (I didn't watch it, so I have no idea). I doubt Simon would disrupt a relatively successful panel, though, and if she moved to the X Factor she might suffer from overexposure, which would help no-one. Dannii Minogue: Would be the most logical choice, and the one the public want the most. But then it begs the question - why would she come back to the UK when she appears to havesettled in Australia full-time these days, to work for a man who just revealled highly embarassing facts about her personal life? Nicole Scherzinger: Was totally out of her depth on the US panel, but could fit in to the UK one quite nicely, considering the inexplicable goodwill out there towards her in this country. I wouldn't be too surprised, but she's 'concentrating on the music' or something, so who knows. Marina Diamandis: She's a genuine fan of pop music, fiery and on quite the wave of success at the moment - a #1 album is a pretty decent achievement. However, she's not too widely known in her own right, and has spoken out about her dislike of One Direction in the past, so who knows. Lily Allen: Has said she wouldn't do it, but seemingly changes her mind every 20 seconds. She's currently writing the music for a Bridget Jones musical, so she doesn't seem to care too much about credibility these days. Of all of those, I suspect we'll be seeing Alesha or Dannii on screen, but I guess it could literally be almost anyone this time. Kelly wasn't rumoured until quite late on last time, so who knows. I still think Kimberley Wyatt is the perfect woman for the job, but she is nowhere near widely known enough to get it. |

Katy Perry - I doubt she'd do it, she already has a successful career here so theres little need to spend so much time increasing her profile here, when she has to concentrate on so many countries across the world.
Lily Allen - A possibility. Marina (from Marina and the Diamonds) - I bet she'd jump at the chance.. but I think Cowell will want a bigger name. Alesha Dixon - She would most likely have to leave BGT to do this, I doubt Cowell would tear apart the successful BGT panel. Dannii Minogue - Cowell would take her back in a heartbeat, she's known to the audience and could go some way to repairing the damaged ratings of 2011. Big publicity surrounding her 'return'. But would she be prepared to fly her child half way across the world when he's getting settled in Australia, especially if she feels Cowell has screwed her over with his biography. Nicole Sherzinger - She failed on the US show, why would Cowell bring her to the UK show where she will do the same? My jaw wouldn't hit the floor if the job was offered to Paula Abdul. |

these are exactly the same people i think are the only possible candidates
Katy - Would actually pull in viewers, and would be a great addition to the panel Nicole - Honestly, simon should of put Nicole on the UK panel and Kelly on the US panel, nicoles more popular over here, more so than over the pond, but i dont think the UK would warm to her, plus shes an XFUS reject Marina - Would jump at the chance, it would boost her popularity, but i doubt she'd even be considered Dannii - Shes the obvious choice, louis little best mate. but i really dont see her getting along with tulisa for some reason! but i think shes the most likely person, it would pull in viewers, though. The affair with simon would make people want to watch, also the irony that the person who replaced her quit the show Alesha - Id love her to be on the panel, shes an amazing addition to the BGT panel, i remember she was originally gonna replace dannii last year, but the BBC didnt like it so she didnt sign up. Simon did BGT and X Factor, whats stopping her, she hasnt got SCD tying her down I like all of these if im honest, would be happy if anyone of those 4 got the gig |

Katy perry's great but don't think she'll do it, Lilly a possibility. Marina, I doubt it, Alesha would be overkill considering she's just done BGT, Dannii good choice, but unlikely.

I honestly don't have a clue who it'll be yet. The best person they could get to fill the role would be Adele IMO but that'll never happen!
