I guess she is great and all that. One thing that bothers me though is the way she pronounces "do" and "you", especially on the track "wild ones". It sounds like she is Swedish or German. Obviously she is Australian but any reason why she sings in this way? is it on purpose?

guess its just her vocal?! i've loved Sia's collaborations for years. Her pronunciations have never been a problem for me certain member of DS also turned me on to her solo work . I also like her attitude to fame. Sia rocks !

I've loved Sia for years but when my flatmates first heard Wild Ones they all thought she was Swedish- couldn't see it myself but glad to hear of someone else making the same assumption!

What sort of music does Sia do? Is she worth checking out. I've seen her name crop up for years

Her most accessible album is We Are Born, so start there. The only way I can think to describe that album is 'Radio Pop'. Her other albums are all very mid-tempo and full of beautiful songs, lyrically and musically. But they take longer to grow on you than We Are Born, which whilst still very good is nothing compared to Some People Have Real Problems and Colour The Small One.

Her albums from best to ... not best (imo) are these:

1 Colour The Small One (Breathe Me is one of my favourite songs ever, alongside Moon, Numb & Sunday)
2 Some People Have Real Problems (It's flawless, full of beautiful songs and amazing lyrics)
3 We Are Born (Completely different to the other two, very pop and mainstream, but still very good. 'Never Gonna Leave Me', and 'The Co-Dependent' are amazing songs)
4 Healing Is Difficult (Some good songs, not available on iTunes which is a shame but you can hear the amazing songs 'Taken For Granted' and 'Blow It All Away' on You Tube)

I don't own her debut 'Only See', but i've listened to it on You Tube and it doesn't sound that good.

She mainly does alternative pop rnb and soul music. Her vocals are amazing and her latest album We are born is worth listening to.

its just her phrasing...if you listen to her other stuff you'll hear that its just her style

I'm not really a fan of her recent collaborations, but anything that gets Sia more exposure to a wider audience is fine with me
